Heyo, I'm Crow!

Despite my old account age, I've actually only being playing for around about two years, but I ended up abandoning this account for a solid three or four years. (account created 2015, left the account in 2017, came back in 2021) - I used to go by some variation of "FlamePanda" or "FlamePandaArmy" back in the day, so if you spotted me it would have been under that rather than my current username.

My favorite breed on this website are sylvorpas, and I'm currently trying to achieve the "dream sylvopra" I made back in 2017. I've gotten most of the traits I want, but getting a 6vis with good colours is gonna be harder than I originally expected, lmao.

I do some art, although I'm not certain if I'll start up an art shop here - if anyone knows the websites, I've run art shops on PFQ and HEX before, with semi-successful results, and I also have a deviantart account. (oh, and more recently a toyhou.se!). If you're interested in getting some art out of me, feel free to send me a DM lol.

Hi, welcome back ! ^-^

If you are not using restricted traits/themmed it may be more cost effective to use 3 (or more) essences to start your project as dye is preaty expencive. If you nead help with your project i can give you some tips and/or access to breed with some of my pets to get the traits you nead.

Thanks for the advice! I'll keep it in mind as I move forward - I should currently be good for traits at the moment as I'm pairing up my sylvorpa with some from other stables to bring in the (recessive) traits I need, but I'm always on the lookout for new bloodlines lmao.

I can see where you're coming from the pet dyes thing - I'll need to do a lot of nurturing to get the scales needed to make my colours look decent, so essences will absolutely help in that department, lol.

Honestly unless it is absolutely neaded dont try to force it with recessive, the odds are not in your favors and unless it's a male you could go months without any luck. Otherwhise, if you still want to try, make sure the other parent dosnt have anything it that gene slot to increass your odds of getting a clean carried. ^-^

For the dye, maby do some pre-orders or sell themmed for dye, old themmes, fabled and restricted sets themmed (asside from dragon nixi and a few others commons ones) can sometime help you get the amount you nead.

yeah, i don't plan to sell these guys unless i get some good colours in the first few end result/s, so i'll probably just have to grind up for scales to get the stuff i need. i also don't have many themed+stuff, but i do have some art skills so maybe i can get something out of that, lololol.

on the note about the clean carry, that's actually the reason why i have two female sylvorpa with no traits in my stables! i thought it'd speed up the process, good to know i was at least semi-right.

the good news is that i have time.
i have nearly all the traits i need already (5/6 in my stable, missing one i should be able to get through eggs in my hatchery), so in the worst-case scenario I'll just need to back-breed and inbreed my poor sylvorpa.

in the end this'll probably end up being a pretty painful process, but if some things go semi-ideally, i should hopefully be able to get what i want in three or four generations. if things go wrong and i have to brute-force it, it'll probably end up being a lot longer sadly, especially with what you noted about how hard it is to force it with recessive.

hopefully in the time it takes to get some carried genes i can encounter some essences and speed up the process, lmao.

Usualy sylvorpa essences are sold for 15 to 25k a piece in the broaker, it may be worth checking it from time to time, they are preaty common after all. You could also find some dye in there, tho they are usualy alot more expencive at 60k or more. ^-^
