I've been wondering, what is this thing called a task log? How do I use it? What does it do?

I'm assuming you mean the Task Log under "Explore". If you go to Etheria, there is a Task Board. Here you can take up Tasks to do. They're just like those daily quests in other areas - you still have to go to the log to complete them.

Oh, I see! I haven't unlocked Ethernia yet, so it's just blank. Thanks anyway, though!
