Runestar woke up from her slumber as rabbitpaw entered. "morning mother."she mewed. Runestar purred. "morning sweetheart."runestar meowed. Softfur was still asleep. The clan was silent, for now that is.

Dawnpelt sat outside, watching the sun rise. Her belly was heavy with kits. Featherclaw stretched and sat next to her. He would have to go patrol today. He woke early because he wanted to stay with his mate first.

Softfur and rabbitpaw trotted towards them. "we're leaving in a few. Runestar would like to see you dawnpelt." Softfur meowed, trotting away. Rabbitpaw following.

Dawnpelt nodded. "Later, Featherpelt." She said and followed the two young cats. She wondered what the leader wanted with her...she wasn't in trouble again, was she? She didn't think she did anything wrong...

Featherclaw watched the 3 cats walk off and went back into the Warrior's den.

Runestar smiled. "morning. You are not in trouble. With your kits coming in a moon you'll need a nurse with you. My daughter, Rabbitpaw, is interested in helping with kits. I, when she is older, will make her a nurse. If its alright with you, rabbitpaw can be your nurse. While your mate is out on a patrol and while you recover from the birth she'll be helping you, you can, of course, dismiss her from your side."runestar said. Rabbit hopped along by softfur. "i hope she lets me be her nurse, I really want to help with kits!"rabbitpaw cheered, softfur smiled. "i expected you to want to help me."she said. "but your not pregnant."rabbit paw said, softfur nodding with a sigh.

Dawnpelt let out a small sigh of relief. "Well, Rabbitpaw, I would happily want you as my nurse!" She meowed "thanks you, Runestar." She added.

Rabb uy tpaw smiled, happily. "great."runestar said.

One month later...

Dawnpelt panted. Featherclaw was out on patrol. "Rabbit paw!" She yelled. She felt contractions go through her belly. She was in a fetal position. "What do I do?" She wailed. She hurt and Eaglewing was nowhere close. And rabbit paw was her nurse...

Rabbitpaw came. Softfur came and blinked. "i'll get the medcat."softfur said. "relax, lay on your side."rabbitpaw said. She thought about what to do, unsure herself.

She lay on her side like Rabbitpaw said. "Where's Eaglewing?" She said. She had never kitted before and didn't know what to do.

Eaglewing had almost forgotten that Dawnpelt would kit today. She was finding herbs yo add to her stack because leaf-fall was coming soon.
