There is this nyte that I wanted to regen with the Red Tailed Cockatoo gene and it IS an option I can choose, but when I try to regen it says the trait is not eligible. Why is that? It's a glitch? Will there be a fix or it'll be left like that

That does seem like a glitch with the new regeneration interface, post about it in the bug reporting part of the forum.
