I was nurturing pets as normal and I clicked "race with it" when it said "this hatchling is slow", and It said I had failed the nurture. It did the same with any other sylestias I tried to nurture, even when I pressed the right button. I haven't had any problems with this before, and I'm trying to get hearts before the event ends through the nurturing 500 sylestias task.

Hm. Not sure what would cause this. Did you maybe open multiple Nurturing windows at the same time? I would make sure to only have one Nurturing tab open at a time.
Additionally, you could try clearing your browser cache to make sure there aren't any script errors happening.

I reloaded, and it worked just fine. My browsers fairly empty and I only had one nurturing tab open. It was probably just a mishap or something with the system, but I still reported it because it was a bug.

Okay. Let me know if you encounter it again and if you do, try and report anything else specific that you can as to what triggers it, etc.

Alright! Just a detail, I had a different tab open on Sylestia managing other things and I clicked out of a pet nurturing tab then clicked back on the pet and then when I tried to nurture that same pet it happened. I was also doing it to pets of people that had nurtured my pets.

Are you loading that pet's profile page before nurturing and then going back to the Nurture Grounds to complete the nurture?
Edit - Hm, tried that scenario myself and it still works properly.
Can you try recording a short GIF/Video of what you're encountering for me?

no, I wasn't. it happened to multiple pets i was trying to nurture.
