Best advice is try to make friends in this game and for pets if u want free ones try to go to giveaways or contest but for breeding just breed any two things and test breed untill u see good results and if u want a free pet tell me and ill breed one for you.

Yeah, and about the free pet thing, if you have any male Sylvorpa that you would be willing to give away I would love them!

Sylestia is a friendly and diverse community, and I'm sure you'll make at least a few friends during your stay. There's many different aspects to the game, and some of which get complicated, so if you ever find yourself lost or stuck, don't hesitate to ask for help!
I have a breeding thread that you can check out here. Players under lvl 30, or 100 account days will get 3 free offspring of their choosing. (only once tho)
I'm also willing to give out a free themed pet offspring if you're interested. Themed pets are pets that can only be caught during festivals and are worth more than regular pets.
Breeding and pet info that isn't too complicated
Breeding 2 different types of themed pets will not result in a theme
There are 2 types of themed pets; tagged (first gen) which are identified by a gold star next to their theme name, and purebred or PB (offspring) which are identified by a blue star next to their theme name.
You cannot breed hatchlings, or adolescents, only adults
You can only breed a male and female of the same species
Test breeding allows you to see what the offspring may look like
Infertile pets cannot breed
Breeding isn't a good way of earning gold (trust me, I'm a breeder)
Infertilizing a pet, is permanent, and there is no way to reverse it.
There are 3 types of traits; hidden, visible and carried
Purple traits are hidden traits, and will usually pass down visibly on to an offspring
Blue traits are visible traits, they may pass down visibly on to an offspring
Green traits are carried traits, you cannot see them and they have a chance at passing down visibly on to an offspring
You can only identify hidden and carried traits by genetically testing a pet.
Releasing a pet will remove it from your stables and prevent you from interacting with it. But don't worry, they'll be fed and happy, and you can always reclaim them for 50 diamonds, so they aren't gone forever. Releasing pets is beneficial to the game in several ways, as it reduces lag and raises the overall worth of a pet. (this only applies if you buy and release cheap pets)

themed pets can also be found in LG, PaD, Advent calendars, etc. taming during a fest is not the only way to get a theme. You can also buy them, They ways I listed are only to get tagged pets (gold star, not bred)
