Rendan and Kenjo sat in the living room of Kenjo's near-mansion of a house, all lights except for the lamp on the end table off. Kenjo was huddled up against the arm of the couch, as much under the light as he could be so that he could see the book he was reading. Rendan, however, was splayed out on a bean bag next to the couch, in the dark and just staring at the ceiling. It was a while before she spoke up, not moving from her position. " ... The others are a little late tonight. We might just have to go without them." Kenjo looked up from his book with a sigh, squinting his eyes to see Rendan's form in the dark. " Give them some time. You know they aren't as free as we are. Besides, the small-time group of robbers we're going after tonight won't go anywhere, we've observed them enough to know they stay in one place the whole night tonight." Rendan made a non-committal noise at that, going silent again for a bit before talking again. " I hope Aura remembers to use the back door this time. We can't afford to have people knowing that people are gathering here so late at night." Kenjo didn't look up from his book this time, instead just casually replying, " Well. She better remember. Mom and Dad installed a new security system, and she'll learn that the hard way if she doesn't." Rendan huffed out a small laugh at that, before slowly sitting up and stretching, her ears flicking. " Mmmgh. Someone's here. I think..." Her ears flicked around a bit before she hummed. " They're coming in the backdoor. Good." Kenjo closed his book after placing the bookmark, and set the book on the table to look at the dark hallway in anticipation of who had arrived.

Aura... was late, to say the least. She tried her best to run quietly along the rooftops, but she wasn't so good at keeping her balance and nearly fell several times. She hoped the others hadn't left without her, but she knew they likely would. After all, it's happened before already. The others can be so serious and cruel sometimes, she swears! Oops, almost missed a jump there... As she kept running, she soon switched to running on the ground instead, after nearly breaking her ankles jumping down from a roof. She weaved her way through the back alleys, heading for Kenjo's mansion.

Virgil got his stuff ready to go. After he was done he told his parents that he is heading over to Ellena's house. Once he got their Ellena was waiting for him. She looks at him annoyed, "Come on we're late Vir," Ellena said and grabs Virgil by the back of his shirt. Virgil sighed and tried to keep pace. They both see's Kenjo's mansion and went to the back. Ellena knocks on the back door.

Rendan and Kenjo both jumped a little at the knock, Kenjo making a small hissing noise before looking over at Rendan. Before he could even speak, Rendan beat him to it. " You go get them. I'm comfy." Kenjo groaned at that but didn't bother arguing, instead getting up and heading for the back door. Rendan couldn't see as well in the dark as he could, so he supposed it was the better option for him to go greet them. Once at the door, he unlocked several locks before opening the door to see Virgil and Ellena. He smiled tiredly at them, stepping aside to let them in. " Come on in, you two. Rendan's a bit upset you're late, good luck soothing her anger." Rendan's voice could be heard shouting from the living room, to Kenjo's amusement. " Hey! I heard that!"

Aura managed to reach the house, and nearly went for the front door before remembering that she needed to go to the back door instead and whirling around to run alongside the side of the house. She reached the back door only to see Virgil and Ellena there being let in by Kenjo... so she wasn't as late as she thought? Either way, she barely managed to stop herself from bowling into Virgil and Ellena, announcing somewhat loudly, " Hello! I am here!"

Ellena nods and drags Virgil inside while waving to Aura in a hello. "Sorry we're late," Ellena said and sits down in a chair. Virgil sighed and starts to get his suit out, "I'm go change real quick where's the bathroom?" Virgil asked while getting his suit in his arms.

Aura followed the two in, smiling happily while Kenjo glared at her before closing the door behind them. He followed the small group to the living room, leaning over the back of the couch as he watched everyone settle in. Aura made to run and jump on Rendan, but Rendan hissed loudly at her and rolled off the beanbag so that Aura would instead flop onto it with a small 'Oof'. Rendan stood up then with a glare in Aura's general whining direction, and instead moved to sit on the couch, in the light. Her ear flicked as she looked at Ellena, her face still in a bit of an irritated scowl. " Being on time is essential, hero or vigilante. Why were you two so late?" Kenjo smiled a bit at their interaction, and turned his head to look at Virgil as he asked the question. He huffed and propped his head up on his hand as he mocked Virgil teasingly. " You've been coming to my house for... what is it, around two years now? And you still don't know where the bathroom is? Dude, come on." He smiled more at him, his face dimly lit by the lamp. " Do you need me to hold your hand there? It is pretty dark, after all."

Virgil's eyes twitched at his question, "Never mind and yes I know where it is," Virgil said and made a portal on the where the bathroom is in the mansion. He jumps in it and lands on the floor. Ellena sees that the portal closes and sighed, "We're late because Virgil had to lie to his parents on him being over at my house for a project," Ellena said while tinkering with her new gadget that is a watch. The watch is to put her suit on over her other clothes.

Kenjo huffed as Virgil portaled away, instead standing up straight. " Well. I guess I'll go get changed too. You want me to grab your stuff too, Rendan?" Rendan looked up at him and nodded before turning her attention back to Ellena. Kenjo shrugged and just fell through the floor into the void since it was so dark, going up to his room. Rendan watched Ellena work for a minute, her tail swaying back and forth from its place dangling off the couch, before speaking. " I suppose that's fine... is that watch going to be a part of your suit?" Aura popped her head up upon hearing that, and shuffled on the bean bag to where she was facing Ellena. " Is that a new support item then? How will it work?"

Ellena looks up from her tinkering, "Yes buts its a work in progress," Ellena said while looking at Rendan. "This watch is suppose to help with putting our suits on faster, but so far I only had twenty miscalculations so far on the timing and for the suit to switch with the clothes on the body," Ellena said and sees a portal out of her peripheral vision. She moves to the right and sees Virgil land on his feet. Virgil looks up and closes the portal counterclockwise. Ellena sighed and pushes a button on the watch to test it. In an instance flash appeared and her suit is her on but her clothes are on the floor. She sighed and grabbed her clothes off the floor. Virgil hissed at the bright light and closes his eyes. "Sorry Vir its still a work in progress, " Ellena said apologizing to Virgil.

Aura seemed very interested in the watch after hearing the explanation, but Rendan just seemed like her curiosity was satiated. Both of them jumped a little when Virgil appeared through his portal, though Rendan quickly settled down. Aura was about to say something when Ellena activated her watch and blinded her, making her hiss loudly and cover her eyes. Rendan also hissed, albeit quieter, and glared at where she assumed Ellena was since she was blinded by the light. Aura recovered after a minute, and blinked at the two before speaking up with wagging tails. " Woah! That's cool! And you're both looking hot as always in your suits!"
