So, excuse me if this has been suggested before at any point, Krin, or isn't feasible to implement, but I've sort of hit a breaking point with some users on site (nothing I would consider large issues, just relatively frequently obnoxious or triggering content in some discussions I'd much rather personally avoid) and would like to propose a suggestion in light of it.

I know there already exists a way to block users via forums, but would there be a possibility of implementing a block or ignore feature to regional chat?

I understand the userbase is pretty small still and there might not be much need at this time, but I feel like not having this feature predisposes the community to some toxicity issues and resentment that would probably be best avoided with giving users the ability to disengage from topics without having to withdraw from the social aspects of the community as a whole or leave the site.

this would be really nice. being able to block people from pinging you and seeing them on threads would be nice too
