I have a consideration for a possible update. Propose if Sylesti could interbrees with common species?

Examples: Zolnixi- Lupora? Zolnixi-Vulnyx? Lupora- Vulnyx? Ferrikki- Luffox? Ferrikki- Bulbori? Ferrikki- Puffadore? Kelpari- Qitari? Nytekrie- Griffi? Nephini- Aeridini? Drael- Ny'vene?

This would make the game much more exciting. It would also be wonderful to have mixed breeds. It would actually be amazing too! New Sylesti would be cutesome.
I am aware this is a long process but I hope the team will consider this...

This idea has actually been suggested multiple times in the past and each time its been shot down due to the amount of complexity involving coding and art.

Really? That's sad :(. But giving up never does any good. In the world many who keep trying and don't get put down with the downside possibilities or negative opinions can meet their goals. This would be SO good for the site. It would become more popular. So, I believe if we don't give up hope and spread news of Sylestia online (Maybe post on Social Media sites) we can get this project going. I mean, the more people that read this hopefully more people will upload on their Social Media accounts about Sylestia! I mean, if the community just did this big project together there is a high possibility we could make this work.

Given how breeding works here, this would be a lot of work to make happen. Even just the number of new species that would need to be created is daunting. There are 22 species right now, so to have hybrids possible for all of them... pretty sure that's over 200 hybrids that would need brand new art for their bases and for all the traits for all of them. Considering it can take months to over a year to do the art for revamping one species' art, I would say, just because of the art requirements alone, this would never happen.

Add in the fact that the different species can have a wide range in number and types of traits in any given slot which likely wouldn't match up well, so the traits received on hybrid offspring probably wouldn't make any sense... I think it has less to do with 'not giving up hope' and more to do with being realistic about what makes sense to put energy into (especially with one coder and a small group of artists working on the site).

Also, Krin has said previously that he would rather release a new species entirely than do hybrids.

Points on why this would be a highly unlikely thing to happen
1. Species are still awaiting their art revamps:
Currently we are waiting on the conclusion of the Nytekrie's revamp (expected around Black Friday) after more than a year of work.

After Nytes, the Fae and Bulb are still due their revamp, which are also going to be of the major-overhaul type of revamp, and then there's five other species after them that will be getting more minor revamps to their linework and traits. It can be assumed that all these together will take at Least another year of work after this

2. We currently only have one pet artist:
Fimbry's the one who does literally all the pet art, and it means that if things come up in Fimbry's life, or if Fimbry has other jobs to attend to, pet art can stall.

3. Sylesti use their Gene and Mutation slots differently from eachother (eg. lup m3 is headpieces, lune m3 is wings, luff g1 and g2 are body genes, aeri g1 and g2 are tail and wing genes) and have different amounts of traits from eachother and overall just. Entirely different traits from eachother
Like, what kind of result would you even expect if you crossed a luff with g1 (A) Ferret with a mork with g1 (A) Panda?

4. if Sylesti could hybridize, you'd need a frankly ludicrous amount of extra work, as you'd have to have base art for four new pets for each, and new traits (at least six for each.
There are currently 22 species of sylesti, so hybridizing them, each result would need art for two adults and two hatchlings- that alone, discounting all traits entirely, would be over 1800 bases (even if it was just one base for adult and one for hatchling, that's still over 900 bases)
That's just. Too Much Work. That's years worth of work.

This would be exciting, but there are some problems:
Extra work for the artists and the admins. There is so much to do already.
Wouldn't that fill up your stables? People would be so excited that they would actually forget about other species.
Themes would be cancelled out. Want a purebred hybrid? Not gonna happen.

However I think that hybrids would really be cool. It's just the matter of ^
