How many variations of the theme, Anthias Lunemara are there?
I know the differences between them aren't that much but I like the accent colour 1 on this girl better compared to this guy.

But looking at these two ([1] [TEMPLINKREPLACE][2][/url]), they have the same colours, but the full gene says I can update the colours while the other one's colours are already updated.

So I guess my question is are there two valid anthias lunes out there, or is it just being weird?

Short answer: yes, there are two variations of the Anthias lunes (and many other lune themes)

Long answer: There are two variations because there is the original colour scheme (called CE or Collector's Edition by some), and then the updated colour scheme from after the lunemara revamp. For the Anthias lunes, they had a very small change: just having one accent colour changed (dark blue for CEs and bright pink for the updated ones).

For the question about the message for updating the colours, the first one (without the message) has already been updated to the new colours. The second one has the message because one of his parents has the old colours and the other has the new colours (he just happened to got lucky and didn't receive a muddy accent colour in the cross-colour breeding). Because one parent is CE colours, the script just knows that both parents don't have the new colours, so he has the option to update to the new colours.
