Dont worry you will know! It takes about three days for an egg long to hatch and when its ready you will see a little golden egg in the corner of the picture of the egg . :)

egglings take 72 hours to hatch, and can get sped up in their growth by an hour for every 6 correct nurtures they get
You can see how far along in their growth an eggling is by looking at the bar in their genetics section, which is a progress bar that tells you they have x/72 hours remaining
