Chris coughed. It was very cold. Crystal was asleep. They were in a cave. Chris had a small blanket she laid on Crystal. The mare had to be healthy if she was gonna foal, right? There was only about 1 month to go. She got up. She sighed. "I'm going out." She said softly. She hoped she could find another wild rider.

Violetina smiled, seeing Peppermint asleep on the floor of the cave, warm under her thick, fluffy coat of fur that was also covered in a blanket. She could hear strange noises coming from outside, but hoping it was just rabbits or something, and not foxes, she gazed at Peppermint's big, round belly, wondering what her foal would look like. There was only about a month left until she would foal, so she had to be nice and healthy to have a nice, healthy foal right? She hoped it would be a filly, with gorgeous fur like her mother's, or even fur like her mother's but golden and white, like her father's. She wished to find another Wild Rider like her, knowing it was probably impossible. She sighed. It was useless wishing that. "Peppermint, stay here. I'm going out to find another Wild Rider. I'll be back in the morning with, hopefully, another Wild Rider." She set off down the grassy plain, strolling along, keeping watch around for foxes that might think her appetizing for supper. A little while later, her legs were getting itchy from the dry plain grass. "Oh well." she thought, "It's better than getting eaten I suppose." Then,she saw an outline of something, or someone, in the far distance. "What is that??" she wondered, hoping it was a Wild Rider and not some creature waiting to pounce.

Chris spotted a figure in the distance. She took out her whip, she ran forward. "H-hello? Who's there?" She shouted. "Show yourself?" She yelled. As she ran closer, she realized it was a girl. She still he'd her whip cautiously. She figured the girl wouldn't try to mess with someone with a whip,

Violetina ran forward, ready to defend herself if needed. She was a karate champion anyways, so who would bother her? She saw the outline running towards her, and realized it was a girl with bright silver hair. Her hopes sprang up, at seeing the girl. "Maybe she's a Wild Rider??" she thought. All the while, the girl was getting closer and closer to Violetina and finally, she ran towards her too, still in defense mode. She saw that the girl with the silver hair was holding a whip, and a small flash of fear flickered across her face, but quickly vanished. She wasn't a sissy!! What did she have to worry about! She was a karate champion after all! She stopped running, the girl running all the while, and waited for the girl to get closer for her to land a punch. Not too hard, in case she wasn't an enemy, but hard enough so she would know that she could defend herself very well.

Chris paused, but still held the whip. She recognized the girl's position. It was a karate defense stance. "Are you a Wild Rider?" She asked hopefully. "Because I am." She said and stared deep into her eyes. "Are you?" She hissed. This girl may be a karate master or whatever, but she held her ground.

Violetina's eyes showed every emotion she felt at the moment, but she was good at concealing it. "A wild rider?? Could it really be??" she thought. "No. It's impossible. But what if she was??" she thought. The girl with the silver hair wasn't frightened of her. That showed some good potential. "If you really are a Wild Rider," said Violetina to the girl, "then show me your horse." she said, with a hint of a smirk across her face. "She couldn't possibly be a Wild Rider!" she thought. "Go on!" she told the girl. "Oh, and no need to hiss at me."

"How can I? She's in my cave and sleeping. She's gonna foal in about a month." She said excitedly. "And your horse?" She said raising an eyebrow. She couldn't let down her guard. She felt strangely relived and hopeful. "I'm living in a cave with her."

"Oh really! Well then, you'll just have to show me. After you've shown me, I promise I will show you mine." Her eyes twinkled with excitement, and she said, "My horse will foal in a month too. What a coincidence!" "This girl seems nice." she thought. "I won't let me guard down though."
