Earned a puffador essence and I have no idea how I got it...
Also, is there a easier way to get avatar items then Trading broker?

Sometimes you can get essences from nurturing pets in your hatchery or other people's pets. You can also get them from completing the dungeons located in Viridian Meadows and Umbra Forest.
Also, if you're looking for a specific item in the Trading Broker, then you'd just want to type it into the search bar. Normally (depending on your settings), the first items you see are the cheapest.

Some avatar items are gotten with a special token(which is quite hard to get)
If you was a surplus of items I suggest going into fest zones and defeating the named bosses there, as well as using the fest currency to buy avatar items from the shop
