So this isn't Sylestia related (which is why it's in the Off-topic disscussion), and I'm not sure if anyone knows what this is.

So basically, I'll be on my laptop playing a game or doing whatever, and randomly, my hands start tingling and my fingers get locked up. When this happens, I can barely move them, and if I try to move my thumb, I can only do it a tiny bit. If it goes on for a longer period of time, my thumb locks up and basically cannot move away from my palm (If I try to move it myself, not using another hand), and my fingers basically "curl" over it (Like if someone put their hand in a fist, but had their thumb on their palm instead).

This also happened when I heard my cat got run over, but instead of just my hands, it was my entire body. It took around 20 minutes for me to actually move my body again, so I'm not sure if it's just my body going into shock. But I don't think it should go into shock if I'm just on my laptop

Not sure if anyone knows what this is, but I thought I'd give it a try

It could honestly be stress induced or a lot of things. I'd worry about the possibility of a minor seizure personally.
I honestly think though it's something you would absolutely need a medical professional to figure out and rule out anything serious speaking as someone with similar issues caused by a neurological issue.

I'd also ask you to check your laptop battery and make sure it's not damaged and shocking you or something as minor electrocution can feel like tingling and affect your muscle movements.

Thanks for the info! I definitely plan on asking my doctor my next appointment.

With the laptop, I don't believe it has anything to do with the battery since it is new (definitely a chance though) and it also happened on my old desktop computer.

It might be a neurological issue, since two times in school last year whenever I had to remain still for long periods of time, my whole body began tingling, and I both got really hot and cold to the point where I almost fainted. Not sure if those were just events of things like panic or an anxiety attack though

Anxiety, panic attacks especially can definitely cause tingling and the hot and cold flashes as well. It's sort of a vague symptom in my experience though since there's a lot of conditions and even minor things like not sleeping enough or a vitamin deficiency (iron, b12) that can cause it.

I wouldn't stress too much about it since more than likely it could just be a relatively minor thing but it's always good to talk to your doc about any new symptoms you get.
Hope this helps you out and eases your mind a bit. ^^
