Between a common, uncommon, rare, and epic sylesti in the wild?

It's the number of gene points they have. It's actually a system that's currently being revamped, so it'll change a bit the further you get into the game.
At early areas though, it's uncommon = 1 vis, rare = 1 vis 1 carry, epic = 2 vis. Commons have a change of being 1 carry, but not always.
When you get to the third region on the map it switches to the new system. There an uncommon = 1 gene point, rare = 2 gene points, epic = 4 gene points, legendary = 6 gene points(I think, been awhile since I've seen one). So it's somewhat similar to the old system, just tweaked here and there.
