Topic came up when chatting with other users, and now I'm curious how many other Sylestians have a brain that's weird in this way.
Quick definition: being plural, in this context, means that there's someone else (or several someone elses) in your head. Someone who has their own thoughts and feelings, and you're not in control of them any more than you're in control of someone out here.
Maybe you talk to what you think is an imaginary friend, and then they talk back without you needing to puppet them. Maybe they comment on your everyday life out of the blue, and have insights that surprise you, reactions that are different from yours. Or maybe if you're on the far end of the spectrum, sometimes you just "check out" of your body and someone else "takes over." There's a bunch of different plural experiences. If you want to dive deeper, More Than One is a good place to begin.
(Sounds crazy? I don't blame you. I will promise you one thing, though - contrary to what Hollywood says, we aren't serial killers. Just weird. :P)
I know that not everyone would want to out themselves in a public forum, so I've made an anonymous poll you can answer here: https://www.strawpoll.me/20439009
If you have questions, you're welcome to ask, here or via PM. Just know that I can't tell you whether you're plural or not - it's your head, so you're the only one who can make that call. And mods, if this isn't an appropriate topic, please feel free to remove it.

I know we've briefly talked about it before but I definitely fit the definition when I was younger as I believe I had two (?) different ones running around, managing the weight of a lot of conflicting ideas and beliefs I had to repress at the time.
X is usually the only voice that comes up for me now, usually when I'm stressed out and he tends to either comment on what's going on or attempt to comfort me but generally I don't hear too much from him on a day to day basis and he doesn't consistently come up when I'm stressed either. (I generally only notice him if I've been rping a lot.. He gets stuck in my inner monologues that way pretty consistently idk why?)
I've heard the term protector used by plurals I've talked to before and I'd definitely put him in the vein of being one even if he's a bit lazy about it.
I've still been attempting to figure out if my derealization/depersonalization episodes outside of obvious traumatic triggers are related to him in any fashion since I've noticed he's come up in a social situation for me at least on one occasion where I would have otherwise been way too anxious and spaced out to speak, but it really hasn't happened since that I remember and even in speaking with people with OSDD and DID, I'm not too sure what to make of him clinically other than some sort of annoying transient accidental stress generated tulpa dude. He generally doesn't affect my behavior that I can tell but I still have a lot of annoying memory gaps from spacing out so much. @_@
