*Thud* The crumpled paper just barely misses the wastebasket. Hitting the rim, it drops to the floor, laying among countless other crumpled balls with barely legible writing scrawled all over them. Hanging your head in defeat, you consider that maybe, just maybe, writing stories is harder than you initially thought. Looking up at the clock, you can't even remember how long it's been since you first sat down in the cushy red armchairs of the public library. Feels like days; you know it's only been a few hours. Lost in your thoughts, a sudden hand on your shoulder makes you jump. Turning around, you notice an middle-aged bespectacled man whom you quickly recognize as the head librarian. With a friendly smile, he sits next to you and cocks his head, intrigued by your work. "Need some help?" He asks in hushed tones. "Writing is a lot more fun when you work together."

Welcome one and all to the Roleplay Help Centre! I'm Coda, and if you couldn't tell by the above post, I love roleplaying. I've been roleplaying ever since I was a teenager, and like to think that I am pretty experienced. I love helping others with their writing, and would love to roleplay with you, too!

This place was created with the intent to help new roleplayers learn how to roleplay, and experienced roleplayers are able to help newbies and really flex their creative muscles!

I'm a bit on hiatus so I won't be around Sylestia to rp nearly as much as I usually am, but I'd love to be a mentor. ^^

I have most experience with group rps over chat but my favorites are small groups (3-6 people) overall. I'm familiar with forum rp formats and have also stuck my toes into RPG games before.

Most of my strengths are in worldbuilding, dialogue and character drama development, and high action combat settings. I also like to think I'm pretty good at coming up with OCs in general.
I'm most familiar with med fantasy, sci-fi, cyberpunk, military and generally dark/grimdark kind of settings.

Weakness: Animal based, standalone slice of life, pure romance (though I'll still write both romance and slice of life in other settings, believe me)

Fandoms: I usually don't do fandom rps too often, but when I do they are Pokemon, Star Trek, or Fire Emblem.

Preferred rp style: Storybook, third person. I generally am semi-lit to advanced lit and have a tendency to write quite a bit depending entirely what the setting is and what characters I have going.
I typically run multiple characters at once and love to have them interact with each other.

Experience: I'm not a hundred percent sure, but probably about three or four years minimum. I started several roleplays, including one that has well over 2000 pages now. I can handle a group rolepay, but I preform much better in smaller groups. I also helped Larkien write a Roleplay guide, and have a bit of experiance with first-time roleplayers.
Strengths:
-Grammer cop
-Charather/world building
-Roleplay forms, as you can probably already tell.
-Elaborate enterances/attention-catching openings
-Playing vanilla charathers, daredevils, and likeable jerks/smart-alecs.
-Balancing magical abilities.
Weakness:
-Constantly forgetting NPC names
-Playing villans (with some exceptions) and overly edgy/emo charathers
-Fickle keyboard despite good spelling (usually need to fix typos)
-Romances usually end up in the friendzone
-Not free of writers' block, unfortunately

Experience: Around 1 1/2 years of near-constant roleplaying (as in, at least one roleplay going on any given day, but usually more like 3 or 4 going at the same time and not all on Sylestia either, my max was 7 I believe)
Strengths: I suppose group roleplaying, RPGing, and the like. I'm really everywhere, but I do know a thing or two about keeping interest :)
Fandoms: Harry Potter, PJO/HoO/KC/MCGA/ToA, MHA, that one romance anime with the obnoxiously hard-to-say name, most adventure/fantasy books (aka Marie Liu's books, Hunger Games, Divergent (to a point), Minecraft, LoL, etc.)..... I read too much basically. No Star Wars, Star Trek, or WoF. I know enough about Warrior Cats though.
Preferred rp style: I'm pretty flexible as long as it isn't angel/demon, heavy romance-only, and unreasonably slow or ridiculously fast, thoguh I can handle both if need be....though i prefer not to.

Additional: I'm a bit of a writer and I get attcehd to characters quite fast. Unfortunately. Don't look in my OC closet, please, it's a royal mess and getting messier.

Also, I have a small group of friends who.... Well lets just say that our discord servers blew up with talk about doing something like this and then we found out this existed so....Heh. That's why I'm here now. ><>
