High on the school room's wall, a clock ticked toward the five o'clock hour. [Six] students sat scattered through the room, pens scratching across paper as pages rustled and someone flipped through music on their iPod. For one reason or another, all had been assigned the detention hour. However, something different tingled in their air, the sound of the clock far too loud in the near-empty school.

When that clock finally hit the hour, everything changed, and with it, every person in the room. They were thrust into a high stakes world of magic and monsters. In order to survive the fantastical, they must evolve themselves and learn to be...extraordinary!





[Greetings fellow roleplayers, some that I may have met, and others that might be new. Herein lies a plot based on my fond memories of devouring young adult novels. This is a classic tale of a group of mismatched teens who, at the sudden strike of a clock, are literally thrown into a fantasy world where anything from dragons to fae seem to exist. Everything, except for a way home. There will be action. There will be humor and self-discovery, fun adventure, and an overarching plot.

For this, I am looking for a group of five to seven players, including myself. Dedication is a plus and you must be aware that this rp will be built like an adventure novel. That isn't to say you must have the writing skills of a novelist, but if you don't like rping within a world heavy on forward motion and remembering plot details, this is not for you. I don't have a set direction that this story will go in and would love to have input as we go along, but some involvement from all characters is required. This is a story that we will build together OOC and IC.

All characters MUST be ordinary humans at the start of this regardless of what magical twists the story may throw later. The focus is on not knowing where the journey will take these teens. Please use the profile skeleton posted below for reference as well as my characters.]

Gender: Androgynous (they/them)
Personality: Brash and outspoken, optimistic, bossy, stubborn, and holds themself and others to the highest moral code. As feisty and creative with their tongue as with their hands.
Strengths: Using words well, good at fixing small gadgets and delicate, artistic tasks.
Weaknesses: Strength in general as well as coordination. Sunburns very easily.
Reason for being in detention room: Refusing to wear 'gender-appropriate' clothing.


Name: Orson Hemsfield
Age: 36 / History professor
Gender: Male
Personality: A mysterious man. Humorous at times, but strict. He's many students favorite for his unique approach to the subject matter. However, he's never cared about the politically correct thing to say and minces none of his words, even to the students.

Reason for being in detention room: He suddenly offered to watch the detention room for the usual Mrs. Webster.

She is on the younger side in her class.
Gender: female
Personality: Elliott is generally very sweet. She loves to talk and be around people. She is very, VERY social. Despite her social behavior, she doesn't trust well. Very few people are actually close to her. She is friends with a lot of people, talkative with them too, but does not trust with anything personal, only the superficial stuff. This has lead some people to think she is fake. Few things bother her though, at least outwardly. The only thing that seems to get a true angry reaction from her is when people call her Elli. It differs from day to day, but she seems to loathe that nickname.
Strengths:
She is very social and good with people.
She is quite agile.
She is a fantastic cook.
She can keep a secret well and is pretty good at hiding and sneaking around.
Weaknesses:
She has weak upper body strength.
She is easily distracted.
She has a hard time expressing her negative emotions.
She is terrified of spiders.
Reason for being in detention room: She cursed a kid out for calling her Elli.

Name: Axel Fletcher
Age/grade: 16/2nd year
Gender: Male
Personality: With a mind like a steel trap and a strong set of convictions, Axel knows how to think outside the box-- and win an arguement. He's actually the captian of the school's debate team. Unfortunately, his bold approaches often drive folks away, and he doesn't have any real friends even though he's otherwise a compassionate person.
Strengths: Smart, observant, resourceful, calm under pressure, used to fence
Weaknesses: Never was an athlete, finds it hard to bond with people, can get carried away in arguments
Reason for being in detention room: He got a little too heated during a debate with one of the teachers in the middle of class.

-Personality-
She is an annoyance to others most of her time, but she can be serious when necessary. Zethrin is notorious for being rebellious and doing things as untraditionally as possible. The little trouble maker always seems to be trailed by some type of misfortune. Zeth, in other words the spontaneous pink haired mess of a child, is often extremely overprotective of what is hers, such as her friends and privacy.

-Strengths-
Agility, Teakido, great at telling a lie, evasive, charmingly spontaneous

-Weaknesses-
Low on compassion, little to no self restraint, loves petty arguments which often leads to social problems, spontaneous
(spontaneous is under both strength and weakness. Sometimes it works to her advantage....other times not so much.)

-Reason for being in detention room-
Notice her hair is pink and short... imagine hair dye as well as hair clippings all over the floor and counter of a school bathroom. She got a bit bored in class and decided to go dye as well as cut her hair, then getting caught by the janitor who didn't seemed to pleased by the mess.

Skill requirement, someone dedicated to building a story, and a crazy fantasy world?
Am I in too many rps? Do I generally hate school rps? Yes and yes.

(Usually goes by Judi)

Age/grade: 18 (4th year)

Gender: Female

Personality: Judi's definitely an extroverted, party girl and a bit more than headstrong. While she's pretty smart, she has a philosophy to live life as fast as she can and tends not to take things too seriously. She's a bit spoiled thanks to her parents' wealth and has a hard time dealing with the unexpected. Especially when there's hard work involved. Blech.

Strengths: Somewhat athletic (thanks to being on the school's volleyball and cheerleading teams), friendly and gets along with most people, pretty booksmart

Weaknesses:
Inconsistent, easily distracted, tends to stress easily, can sometimes be catty if she's left alone too long or around people she can't stand

Reason for being in detention room:
She was late to class again. Probably got caught hungover and making out with a girl in the bathroom too.

Personality: Azrail usually isn't one to give up. He is kind to pretty much everyone, ready to help any one out. He will do anything for anyone, happy to please others. However, don't mess with whoever this guy cares about otherwise you're going to regret living. It usually takes a while for Asher to get angry though, and you're only ever in danger if he is extremely angry. Also, it's hard for him to stay angry. He is kind of oblivious to others feelings.
Strengths: Endurance, Balance, Flexibility, Doesn't give up if they have a set goal in mind
Weaknesses: Push-over, Oblivious to the most obvious things, Blind in one eye
Reason for being in detention room: He got in a fight to protect someone he loved dearly (and trust me, he can throw a punch).
