what are advancement points and how do i use them?

they are what they sound like- you get them for doing things on the site like progressing the plot, breeding pets, battling, doing quests and such
However, while there are plans for an AP shop in the future, currently they are used for:
auto-unlock of stablehand feature upon having passed a total of 10k ap (no need to buy anything, doesn't 're-lock' if you drop below 10k, you just need to pass 10k to be able to access it)
buying base styles for your avatar (such as mouths and tattoos and beards)
buying more save slots for the generator
buying more party preset save slots
