Okay. I'll start this off and then you guys can finish it. (ex. One person writes one chapter. Someone else writes another chapter. Etc.)

One


Alaska glanced up at her team. Yes. They were ready.
Alaska's team had been trying to defeat the same enemy for weeks. And every time they tried, they were defeated.
But not this time, Alaska grinned. Blaire had been pushing them harder each time they trained. And it seemed to be working. The team was working together better than they had ever before. This time they would win.
"Ready, Alaska?" Emory asked, eyes shining with determination. Emory was the feistiest Faelora Alaska had ever seen. Faelora's were normally known for their sneak attacks, but Emory did the opposite. Emory loved to run straight at the enemy and fight with all she had.
The entire team was different. Alaska was more laid back than most Griffi's. Emory was bolder than most Faelora's. And Sydney was the smartest Qitari in all of Viridian Meadows.
Alaska nodded, "Definitely. How about you, Sydney?"
Sydney snorted, "Is that supposed to be a trick question? Because after how much we've prepared, what's the point in quitting?"
Emory grinned, "Okay then. Let's go!"
Suddenly, the ground shook beneath Alaska's paws. That definently wasn't supposed to happen.
"Look up!" Sydney whispered.
Alaska looked up to see a Nytekrie circling above them. This was bad. Nytekrie's were one of the fiercest creatures in all of Viridian Meadows. And Nytekrie were best known for one thing.
They never let anyone go; as least, not alive.

Two


"This is not good. What do we do now! We're going to die!" Sydney rambled.
Emory shook her head, "Stop it, Sydney. We'll be fine. You're seriously overthinking this. Just run, attack, then we win. Easy. Okay? Let's go!"
"Wait!" Alaska said. "We can't just run into this! We need some strategy to this madness. Um, Sydney, any ideas?" Sydney normally had something to say when it came to battle strategies.
Sydney glanced around, "Hide?"
Emory groaned. "Are you kidding me? We can't just hide! We need to do something! Um, I know! Charge at the enemy! They won't be ready and we'll have the advantage and..."
"Bad idea," Sydney sighed. "We need a better plan than that! Uh, let's do a sneak attack!"
Alaska sucked in her breath. Sydney had never sounded this panicked before, even when the stables had been set on fire. This must be really bad.
Out of the corner of Alaska's eye, Blaire motioned for them to retreat.
Emory growled, "We can't just retreat!"
The Nytekrie began to swoop lower. Alaska shuddered with the realization: the Nytekrie had spotted them.

Three



Everything turned into a blur.
A red light flashed at the side of Alaska's eye.
Pain burned through Alaska's fur.
Emory, Sydney, and Blaire's screams echoed through the air.
Alaska tried to run but only succeeded in collapsing to the ground.
Then darkness.

Alaska felt something wet nudge her side. Alaska blinked her eyes open to see Lila, a Puffadore, looking at her intently.
"What?" Alaska asked as she struggled to sit up. The outcome: she failed.
Lila glanced down, "Do you know what happened to the others?"
Alaska stared at Lila, "No. Why?"
Lila pawed at the ground, "We couldn't find them. We only found you."
I took a second for Alaska to realize what this meant. "You mean... they're... dead?"

Five
(Ooh this seems cool)

Alaska stumbled backwards. Were they really dead? She sprang to her feat and ran to the exit. What are you doing? Lila screeched. Im gonna find my friends, Alaska firmly responded. They might still be alive! Lila paused for a moment. She knew that Alaska was powerful, and she had no way of stopping her. Lila sighed, Fine. You can go. But take two of the others with you. Alaska agreed and ran to the stable, but the choices werent promising. All the strong Sylesti were out on missions. She finally settled on a young aureleon who was still in training and an older lupora who had once been a powerful fighter. The aureleon, Cliff was eager to go. The lupora, Omen, took a little more convincing. At first Omen tried to reason with her, but gave up when she saw how desperate Alaska was. Are we ready to head out? Alaska asked?

"Fine," Omen grumbled.
"Yes!" Cliff piped up. "Did you know this is my first time being on a mission? It's so exciting, right?" Oh! Did you know that snails can sleep for three years?"
Omen sighed, "Did you know that I will not hesitate to kill you if you don't stop?"
Alaska looked between the two pets. This was not off to a good start at all. "Please don't fight!" Alaska begged. "After we rescue Blaire, Emory, and Sydney, you can kill each other! But please not now!"
Cliff groaned. "Are you kidding me? I personally think that fighting this big, old, lumbering beast would be fun!"
"Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh," Alaska muttered. "This is going to be a loooooooooooooooooong day."

SEVEN

Soon after, the group was greenlit to head out. Alaska watched from the front, while Omen grumpily watched from behind. Cliff helped out whenever he could, probably to prove himself. If something attacked, they would work together to fend it off.

When they arrived at the area, Alaska took a look around. It seemed normal, except there was blood everywhere. With this much bloodshed, there was no way her comrades had survived. Omen and Cliff followed suit, keeping watch for the Nytekrie that had started it all

Two figures lurked in the bushes nearby..

NINE

Alaska carefully walked toward the bush. It sounded like the voice was coming from here! As she sifted through the bushes, she gasped.

It was Sydney.

"A-Alaska, i-is that you?" The Qirari stuttered, slowly getting up.

Alaska nodded, as Omen and Cliff walked up. Her friends were still alive! Well. at least Sydney.

Something told her Emory wasn't so lucky.
