Sometimes, yes, I know, I have trouble remembering my projects. Wouldn't it be nice if they could have tags like themed pets? This will be useful, I just can't remember why right now. But I remember doing something and then thinking, "Gee, wouldn't tags be useful right now?"

this would probably devalue actual themes if you can make your own tags. besides you can name your project pets to what you want.

Yeah but on the ACTUAL PET ITSELF. Also, they would be different coloured text and a different coloured star to themed pets.

This seems like it would be quite complicated to implement and rather unnecessary. Also, it sounds like something that would constantly take a whole lot of Krin's time, since every time a person started a new project he'd have to go in and update the individual pet entries in the tables with that person's personalized tag. That or he would have to create a whole new system that allowed the players to create said tags for their own pets, and suddenly there would be thousands of tags for the advanced search to go through (because that would obviously be the next thing people asked for). Add in the problems of people having the same names for different projects (lots of common ones out there like starry night or various anime/book/movie/game/tv show-inspired ones to name a very few) , or themed projects that would suddenly need to somehow have two tags, and it just seems like a large headache that really isn't needed.

So yeah, as a project breeder (74 completed projects and counting), this gets no support from me.

I think I would just prefer that Krin goes the 'whole hog' and add bios to pets for a myriad of purposes rather than adding something that would be rather limited and could be abused and might harm other pet sales.

(and by abused, I mean someone taking a pet that is say the color scheme or close to, of the City LIght Qits, and labeling the project 'City Light Qitari'. On a casual glance, especially for people who are confused about what the different colored stars means, they might think that the pet was actually part of that theme, rather than just a random offspring that might have the same name)

I think a bio would be a better place, and it could have limitations on it, (character limit, no offsite links or whatever) if there is concern about at least hundreds of thousands of pets suddenly having an area that data can be stored.
