I know it's probably in place to watch for bots but it reminds me of when Netflix asks you if you're still watching.

I was just asked to click on the circle to make sure if I was alive and let me just say, I did a double take because its 1:30 in the morning and that question automatically had me contemplating my own existence. I definitely felt dead as I droned on continuously nurturing those eggs.
