UPDATE: Got the 2nd part of the program just about done and working ^.^

*dies* I've been working on this and my capstone since...3ish? that's almost 10 hours x.x

Anywho, I have found myself having trouble keeping track of breeding projects, so I'm in the process of writing a program that make it a bit easier! Here are some screenshots of what I've got so far:

Here's a look at creating a project and adding pets to it:

Adding a Project

Here you name the project and put down one of the urls for the goal pet, then start adding all of the initial sylesti. Each sylesti is added by entering their image url and their ID. When creating a project, you have the option to add multiple sylesti at once; I find it helpful to split the screen as shown when doing this :) Once everything is all set and the project is created, you are shown the home-screen with your new project front and center!

Home Screen

To switch to another project, you can just use the dropdown menu at the top, and all of the info shown will change to the new project!

New Project!

Once a project is created, it is possible to add/remove sylesti from it using the green/red boxes and entering the image url and the id (just the id is needed to remove).

Add a new Sylesti

Clicking the big purple project name will launch your default web browser with the 2nd part of the program; the web interface. First, a look at the overall layout of the page.

Layout

There is a little menu at the top which I'll go over later. There is also a button just under the menu; I'll go over that later, too. Then in big letters you have the Name of the project, with the male and female goals on either side. Under that there are 2 scroll boxes of Sylesties (they do scroll horizontally when you put too many in there). The top box is full of males, and the bottom is females who are part of the project. The two large boxes on the right side of the page show the details of a selected pet; top is male while bottom is female.

Selecting a pet

Should you decide to click on a pet on the left side, their details will show up in the respective box on the right (note the male felora in the top box instead of the female nixi). The really cool part is that you are restricted to only scrolling up and down, and only so far; this means I am able to display just the important information needed when figuring out who to breed to who, and nothing else. By scrolling all the way to the bottom of two detail screens, you can do a side-to-side comparison of a potential breeding pair.

Breeding

Once you decide to breed a pair of sylesti, you can click on that button on the top I skipped over earlier; the one that says "Show Breeding Generator" That will bring up the generator. Now here's the REALLY cool part: if you are already logged in to the site, that's YOUR generator; the one with all YOUR pets in it so you can ACTUALLY breed them from this nifty little interface (It's really just a box, called a frame, that displays a webpage; I restricted it to just the breeding generator part of the page so It could easily fit in the display, but everything you do there is actually being done on your account...This goes for the pet detail boxes, too) Clicking the "hide" button will, well, hide the generator.

Switching projects

Once you've finished up with one project, you can go to the menu at the top and click the little arrow for a list of all of your breeding projects. Choose one and voila! your next project is loaded.

This will not be hosted anywhere (so it's not an online utility anyone can use) and it probably won't be distributed for quite a while since the dimensions and spacing of half of the stuff is specific to my computer, and there are probably a million problems if you tried using it in anything but chrome, but it's a work in progress :)

Wow.

That is really cool!

I hope you end up making a version for distribution, it would help me so much! I lose track of breeding projects so fast. xD

Thanks! I will have to do some research to see If I can manage to make the layout more relative so it scales nicely. There were a couple of times where I really wanted to size stuff relative to the amount of space they had, but it freaked out at me o.O

Definitely looking forward to adding the other piece of it, probably today or tomorrow ^.^
The other awesome thing is that it lets you see all of your pretty designs so quickly XD
