I wasn't quite sure which category this post would best suit but since it is relevant to the game I figured this is as close as I could get.

Any who, All I wanted to say is how much fun I have on this game xD Before you go back because your thinking "Oh god, a suck up...." No, I am just stating my opinion. I always see people pointing out what can be "improved" in games and they never focus on what they have. and to start it off I just wanted to say thank you. I have compared this game to MULTIPLE games I have played in the past and none of them never seem to stick. (Like ever, your lucky if a game can convince me to stay for more than a month) And even though I've taken a leave of absence on here now and then I always come back to it.

So here is my reasons why I think Sylestia is so great. xD

1: There is so much to do..... (And so much more to come)

This game has SOOOO much to do, and even when you get bored of doing maybe one thing over and over and over... you can move onto something else. Theres battles, quests, missions, breeding, avatar customization, and of course the forums.

Although I don't take part as much as I should in forum discussions, I still enjoy it when I do.

2: The staff ACTUALLY listens to the players

I could go on forever on this topic. Oh, my, gosh. I have been on some games where the Admins go on continuous power trips. It annoys me when our opinions don't matter. On this site however, I've seen the complete opposite and that brings a smile to my face. The suggestions forum is there for a reason and you guys utilize it to the best of your ability. I see mostly Krinadon responding on like...every suggestion post including mine. You guys are the BEST admins by far when it comes to taking suggestions from players.

3: Constant updates

This is so important to me, I can't keep up sometimes. If I leave for like two weeks I come back and I have like 8432472 pings. xD So many updates!! Including the recent Festivals..So much fun.

4: The community

I haven't met one person yet who has come off as rude to me on here. This community is so open minded and caring. It makes me feel like I've known everybody for ages.

5: THE PETS

The art is beautiful, and there are SOOOO many different pets to choose from. Breeding just makes it so much better. :D

I might add more later...just because.. My fingers are going numb from typing and deleting...

What are your favorite aspects of the game? :D

1. Avatar system

Let's face it, I'm so self-centric on looks and any ability to display em (if it wasn't for that, I'd have pets modeling such xD). It's 60% of the reason (almost) that I stay so addicted. FD

I'd say everything else, from pets to community to general addiction, is the 40% that keeps me here. c:

My top 5 reasons I love Sylestia.

1) Like Flute, my number one reason for staying is the avatars. Don't get me wrong, I love the pets..but the thing I do most, is plan avatars. Some people have breeding projects...I spend hours on my avatars.

2) The community. the people here are very friendly and nice. I've made a lot of friends...which...is an accomplishment for me. I don't make friends easily. Most sites I go to I never post or talk to anyone. Yet here I feel comfortable talking. I like that.

3) The pets. I love collecting things. And this game allows me to collect so many pets. It fulfills my hoarder urges. It helps that the pets are pretty.

4) The admins. Krinadon and Faiona are very nice people and I always feel like if I have an issue I can go to them and they will listen.

5) The forum games. I love the forum games. It might be a bit silly to put this up there, but I always look forward to games like Frankenpet and the festival crossword puzzles. And I love seeing and even drawing stuff for the art contests. There are a lot of really talented artists playing this game.

1) The avatars
I love being able to color customize items and collect them. I love the challenge of getting rarer items and the accomplishment I feel when I finally get them.

2) The pets
I love to breed mine and try for the perfect stats or traits. All their colors and varieties are amazing.

3) The Community
Every one is so nice! What else can I say?

4) The Admins
Krinadon and Faiona work so hard and put in so much time here. I thank you for all your hard work and your dream to make this game. You have brought joy and wonder to so many people. Thank you!

5) Forum Games
Either it is an official contest hosted by the Admins or a just for fun thing someone does, I love to participate. I also love to see what others do. Every one is so creative.

6) Holiday Festivals
They are so much fun. The new pet designs, avatar items, lots of people on, new area to explore, and so much more. I love to be on every chance I get.

7) Constant Updating
And new art(pets and backgrounds). I love being able to have the opportunity to grow with the game and to always learn new things. (about anything)

8)Everything else!
I have not found anything that I have disliked.(Some minor things bug me at times but such is life, that and sometimes I have a bad day and let myself be bothered...) :D

The rpg aspects of this game. This is the first petsite breeding game I am on where the explore system actually have a plot.

And the staff actually replies to the Newbie FAQ section to help out pretty frequently. That surprised me at first.

Some people listed art for their reason, but Sylestia's art doesn't really appeal to me. I dislike the art of starter species except Aureon. The Draeyl especially bugs me. I find the shading good, but the posture looks strange. And the anatomy is not very good. Same for the other staters except Aureon.

As for other pets, I find their art is okay. But I might be harsh on them since I compared them to the other breeding websites I was on this year:

Flightrising:

And Felisfire:

Okay, I am probably very harsh, especially comparing with Felisfire's since I know the most pet games do not have artwork this realistic. Both of them are mine, by the way.

But I have been inactive in both of them due to lack of interesting things to do. I find Sylestia's RPG aspect very unique. Flightrising has a coliseum where you can battle creatures and other dragons, but that is all can you do. There is no plot, no puzzle solving and no choices to make that can change the outcome. Maybe I will be bored of Sylestia one day, but I will be back to tackle the next area when it comes. Looking at the usual maximum value for levels (250), there are still a lot to go, which I am pretty happy about.

Edit: Some of you listed the avatar part, and after some thinking, I realised why I wasn't impressed with it when I joined: I was comparing it to Aywas' which...when you look at the more expensive clothing, their art is much better. I also don't have many outfits here, and so I am not as interested in it.

Looking at Sylestia again, I think the features aren't the best, but are still interesting, with a fair amount of variety when compared to other breeding games. Except for the RPG part which I find is unique, and the lack of games here.

I really love the art on syl, and I'm not sure it's really fair to compare it to those other games. Their styles are based around being highly detailed and realistic, while sylesia art is much more cartoony. I think Syl does a great job at making the right amount of detail for the style it's aiming for, I've seen both pets and avatars people have made here that are really gorgeous. As for the starter pets being somewhat awkward looking compared to the newer pets, you kind of expect that from any site. The first art released is never going to be as good as the newest stuff, as the style is developed and fine tuned over time.

Personally I'm excited to see where the site goes in all aspects, and honestly the amount of improvements we've seen in just a year have been amazing. Between the hardworking staff and the dedicated playerbase, it's hard not to be addicted to just the community alone (of course, it's pretty easy to get addicted to other aspects as well because gosh dang there's just so much to do here!)

The Admins!
Geez, they are so nice! I remember one time I sent Krinadon a message, and I felt like such a dork for doing so. I hadn't been on that long, and it was just a silly message thanking him and Faiona for making the site. I didn't expect him to answer, because every other site I have been on the admins didn't care about the players, just the cash. Then, to my surprise, he answered back and said you're welcome!
The Plot
Another reason, high on the list. Every site I have ever been on (With the exception of AQ and Dragon Quest) had no plot once so ever. When I joined Sylestia, I was excited to find there was a storyline!
Its Free
No site I have ever been on(That I can recall) has ever been completely free. Yeah, most advertise "Free to Play!" but you have to have some kind of membership to even enjoy it (*shiver* Club Penguin...). Sylestia isn't like that. Sure, you can buy Diamonds, but it isn't necessary. It may give you sme bonuses, but otherwise everything is fair.

Well, that is all I can think of for now! SYLESTIA IS AWESOME, HANDS DOWN.

Yes, I agree it is not really fair. Fair or not, the other games are what makes me think that Sylestia's art is alright rather than good. Overall, I find the lineart pretty good in the most pets and the shading is a bit lacking.

My standards may be also higher due to the fact that art is my hobby (even though my art skills aren't great and can't be compared to Felisfire's and Flightrising).

Sometimes the starter pets are also pretty good even when the quality is lower.

If I really, really care about the art and not much else, I can continue playing the other websites I listed. I find that Sylestia's art is not really great but good enough. Except the starters. Their anatomy makes me cringe, but I don't have to keep them so it is not a big deal.

Overall, what sets Sylestia apart for me is being a decent breeding game with pretty good adventuring system and plot. That is what drew me in at first, and what I really, really like about in this site.

Being a somewhat new player, I haven't seen first-hand the improvements in the game, but I can tell there is a vast improvement between the old and new adventuring system, and their fight windows.
