This is a super basic question I know....but it is driving me crazy trying to figure it out. How do you use items during battle on the old (?) system--I could use the "only for battle" restores during the festival in the festival zone but why can't I use items in the standard "explore" battles (minus traps....I seem to be able to use traps).

Press 'P' (or click the Red Arrow).
Click "Use Item"
Select the item
Click "View Party"
Select the pet
Click "Close"
It's so easy a caveman could do it. (sarcasm)
