Creating an Indent
____If you want to indent something or put extra horizontal spacing between two things, you can't use spaces because extra spaces are deleted by the forums. Instead, you'll have to use invisible characters--ones with the same color as the forum background.
Here's how:
_1. Type out some characters with width equal to that of the desired indent. These can be any characters, but I've found that four underscores (____) makes a pretty good indent.
_2. Give those characters color F5FAFF, the color of the forum background. It should look something like ____.
____And that's it! For more precise widths, you can use all sorts of characters. For reference, the narrowest character is the single quote ('), and the widest is the @ symbol.

Typing Square Brackets
____Since the forums parse square brackets as formatting, they sometimes don't show up in the final post (for example, you can't normally post ). In order to get around this, you need to break up the tags by putting another tag pair inside it.
Here's how:
_1. Type out the bracketed text you want to display. For example, .
_2. Then, after the opening (left) bracket, insert a short tag. I recommend using , , or , as they are the shortest tags. It is important to insert the corresponding closing tag, otherwise you can mess up the formatting in the rest of your post. It should look like
[color=F5FAFF] in the editor.
____And that's it! Remember to include the closing tags, and insert them right after the right bracket. Otherwise, if you type something like ], it might be parsed as one big tag and it won't display like you want it to.
