Hello. I was wondering if anyone could explain to me what exactly philters are. I know you can choose it as an option when hatching your egg, but what exactly does it do? Also, is there anything else that philters are used on? If so, what, and what effects does it have?

Using a Philter on a hatching Eggling will permanently increase its base stats.

What if I choose to let is hatch or help it hatch? How are those different from using a philter?

They also boost its stats, but not by as much.
Helping it increases its health? (I think =S). Letting it hatch increases a random stat I think.
The Philters let you choose the stat and increase it by more. Then the Prismatic Philter (Diamond Shop) increases all stats.
