Could you make pings visible, so we can see who people are talking to? It's creating misunderstandings currently...

I just say who I'm talking to, if I've pinged more than one person at a time.. Like,
[these are the pings>] |@User1, @User2|

[this is the post v]
| User1, blahblahblah, info

User2, blahblahblah, different info.|


XD That's just how I do it if I'm trying to ping more than one person in the same post, aha, but I do see how it can be confusing if people aren't specifying who they are talking to when pinging multiple people at once.

Can you be more specific?

If it's your post or if you were the person pinged, you can see the list.

Say person A pings person B. Then person C comes along and reads what A wrote. Person C doesn't realize the message was for person B, and instead thinks it's for person D.

Basically only persons A and B have enough knowledge to follow the conversation without confusion.



edit: You can't see the entire list if you were pinged. You can only see that you are on the list.

Okay. I understand. Basically, you want the "self only" clause of viewing ping lists removed.

That really would help out. I've seen conversations that involved multiple people but every single person pinged in the post thought the entire post was directed solely to themselves and it caused some problems.

Yes I have had some problems with this. where I ping person A with a trade option and person B makes the attempted trade. (because of it I now Ping A and write A's name in post.)

I also think that's a good idea. Even though--Willowdarimn--I've never been in one of those situations, I think that yes, that would cause a few problems.
