I replaced/changed a lot of character around for the sake of originality, I also aged up a few characters.

Owned by Mohn, who took over after his wife's disappearance 3 years ago. He and his two kids Lillie and Gladion run the foundation and try to make a better life for alola and all the pokemon in the world with scientific discoveries and protecting endangered pokemon. (Note: Gladion and Lillie are aged up so they're about 18 years old)

The sun was just starting to set over Iki town as the festival was starting. The crowd gathered and the Lahuna gave her speech about the bond between Pokmon and rituals.

Sereai watched the ceremony, waiting patiently. Her Type: Null, called Silver (the name written on its ball) was safe in its pokeball, and her cosmog, Nebby (she doesnt know where she learned that name, but for some reason, the name Nebby was just solidly in her mind as the name of this cosmog) was safely in her bag.

She already knew which started Pokmon she would choose, as she had bonded nicely with a popplio while living with the Kahuna.

Cole walked up, nervous. He didnt make any eye contact, and kept his face to the ground. Pokmon looked at him and came close to him, but he flinched and they backed up.

*Nebby, i know you dont like being in the bag, but its dangerous, theres too many people around* she whispered gingerly into the messages bag where Nebby was hiding. She hadnt yet found a ball to keep the cosmog, so she just had to settle for her bag. She glanced warily at the boy who was standing somewhere beside her, putting a hand over her bag protectively and Nebby rustled inside again.

Coles eyes flickered at the bag, and his eyes narrowed in curiosity. However, he said nothing.

Kahuna Panacea finished her introduction to the ceremony.

"Now, children of the island, come forth and choose a pokemon, and perhaps it will choose you as well!" She announced, stepping back as several Popplio, Litten, and Rowlet took to the stage.

"Wait here, be good, I'll be back in a second" Rei whispered to Nebby inside of her bag before walking onto the stage. She recognized the popplio she befriended, whom she called Marina, nearly instantly. She carefully picked up the little sea lion and held it up as it yipped happily.

Cole walked in front of the Litten and kneeled. *hi there,* he said quietly.k

*Youre choosing litten? Its pretty cute* Sereia says, looking over to Coke and the Litten.

Out of the corner of her eye, she spots her bag sneaking away, and then something slipping out and farting away.

*Oh no.* Re goes pale as she realizes Nebby must be escaping while she was on the stage and not making sure that it was staying in the badge..

(Oh, shoot! I go to the amusement park and a roleplay starts without me XD)

Axel huffed as he ran down the road. "Sweet mother of Arceus, why'd this place have to be so far off?" He muttered to himself. "I'll bet the others picked out their Pokemon already..." He continued as he slowed to a stop. "Sure hope this is the right place."

Theres still a rowlet left onstage when Axel arrived to the ceremony, as well as a disfigured boy near a litten and Sereia, holding popplio in her arms, looking incredibly nervous as her eyes dart around the crowd.

Axel let out a short sigh, smiled and walked up to the stage. "Alola. Sorry I'm late, didn't think the trip here would take me so long."
