So I get that releasing a pet means letting it go live on its own in the wild, but is there any benefit besides regaining stable space? Is it possible to get pets back after having released them (if yes, how) & is there a time frame to do it in?

I'm pretty sure the only benefit is more stable space, and you can get them back at any time if you pay 50 diamonds

if you reach the lost grove, releasing a pet over 42 days helps for finding eggs.
