Campfires And Rainbows
You're being forced by your parents to go to a gay camp: one that's supposed to gently but permanently 'correct' the way you identify, and you are fighting against them making you go with everything you have. What the camp doesn't tell anyone is that it's actually a safe haven for teenagers who aren't accepted for who they are. Their logic? Whoever has parents who send them to be 'corrected' are the ones that need support and acceptance the most. However, what the camp does - advertising the direct opposite of what it is - is illegal, and if the camp's found out, it'll be shut down. You don't realize that Camp Arcus is a LGBTQ+ safe haven until you arrive, but once you do, you don't want to leave. However, your safe haven is close to discovery, and you need to help keep it open.
-CHARACTERS-
Open! We start with parents dropping their kids off outside of camp to take a bus in. It's a closed camp, meaning only campers and counsellors are allowed inside. When posting, please put this at the top of your post:

Seath didn't even get a hug goodbye from her parents. She hugged herself, a little grumpy about that. She shifted her backpack strap as she watched the red ford drive off. Seath scratched the bandaid on her arm, trying not to cuss the world out.
Jacqueline picked a piece of lint off her Queen hoodie and studied it, balancing it on the tip of her finger.
Her father had simply dropped her off, with a gruff See you later, and driven off. She had no clue who anyone else was, so she just stood off on her own, in the shade of a large tree.
There were around two dozen other boys and girls, with more still arriving, but the flow was beginning to taper off. No one really appeared to know each other, and only a few seemed to be making any attempt to get to do so.
She didn't want to go to the camp. It was supposed to be a place to gently 'fix' her. In other words, make her straight. Tears prickled at the corners of her eyes as she recalled a recent argument with her father.
"Jackie. I'm sending you to Arcus for your own good," her father said. She could tell he was trying to be gentle, but he couldn't completely hide the annoyance in his voice.
And the disgust. The disgust at having a daughter who liked other girls, who had had a girlfriend...
"I'm not going," Jacqueline snapped. "I'm who I am, and I'm not gonna change."
Her father sighed impatiently. Jackie could almost hear his thoughts: Someday you'll realize how silly you sound.
"Jackie, I'm sending you there because I care about you. I don't want you to be..."
"Be what?"
"You know what I mean."
He reached out and put a hand on her shoulder. Jacqueline slapped it away, tears of fury coming on.
"Don't touch me," she spat.
Her father's eyes blazed.
"Jacqueline Kyla Turner, you will listen to me. You are too young to know your sexuality. You-"
"Said no one to the straight kid ever," Jackie snapped.
"Soon you'll be over this silly... phase. I'm just trying to help you along!"
Jacqueline shook her head at her father. A man she had loved and trusted.
"I'm done with you," he snarled, pointing away from him.
Jackie tossed her hair over her shoulder and stalked away. It was only once she was alone that she broke down.
Recalling their fight the day before, Jackie bushed a hand along the scabs on the underside of her left forearm. The were fresh from yesterday, once her father had left.
She sank to the ground, leaning back against the rough bark of 'her' tree. If anyone else wanted to come over and talk to her, let them, but she wasn't going to go try to make any friends herself.
Vixen patiently waited for the campers to turn up. She was assigned to greeting them which she didn't mind doing in the very slightest. She loved this camp and she was sure it would be a big surprise to the campers for them to learn this wasn't a conversion camp at all! It was a safe place for all kids who weren't strait. She smiled slightly at the idea of all the campers being a rude till they found out what this place actually was. Boy, would they feel silly! She giggled at the idea, this all would be a fun experience. She couldn't wait to take them all on a trail! It was going to be so fun.

The short girl decided to follow the trail up to the camp. She grabbed a stick, swinging it around as she walked. Seath was clearly taking a smile as she came apon the camp. She paused, dropping the stick. Something seemed to be off, this camp didn't look to bad. She shrugged it off, walking up to the entrance.
Vixen wondered what the kids would be like this year. Hopefully none were like Toby.. no one speaks of Toby.. Well, she could only hope they weren't too bad. Most of the time they were all very good. She smiled at the thought again of all the stuff they would do. She just loved helping them in any single way she could. It was the best feeling ever.
Seath basically bounced into the camp. When she saw Vixen she grabbed a folder piece of paper. "My mother wants me to give this to one of the councillors." , She said, a lick of sadness in her voice.
