SmokeStar padded out of his den, his gaze traversed across the barren clearing. This clan had just begun to gain more warriors and he expected that he could establish his authority so the new warriors learned how the ranks in this clan served.

Quailspeck saw the leader standing on the large rock. She yawned, her claws unsheathed as she stretched before slowly walking out of the warriors den. "It's been a beautiful start for Newleaf, hasn't it Smokestar?"

Quailspeck snorted and lazily walked over to the warrior's den. She could hear the other cat snoring gently as she made her way inside. "Gingertail! We are needed for dawn patrol!"

Gingertail's eyes shot open and glared menacingly at Quailspeck.
"You can tell him that I am NOT going, the camp needs someone to protect it while you two go patrol," She hissed.

She almost jumped at the angry cat's tone. "Sorry for asking..." Quailspeck retreated out of the den and trotted towards the leader, "She won't come."

Sandtalon perked his ears, watching the two cats. "Since Gingertail isn't up to the task, I could replace her, " he offered, padding up to Smokestar. He needed to get out of the camp right now. He had been cooped up too long. After being attacked by a (provoked) warrior last week, he hadn't been on many patrols. If it was up to them, though, he'd be going out ever day.

"Thank you for agreeing to come with us, Sandtalon." SmokeStar led the warriors out of the camp. He planned on taking the patrol to the borders first and then they could hunt for food for the clan.
