We should be able to earn diamonds as well as be able to buy them. it's stupid to only be able to buy diamonds

You can earn gold and buy diamonds using gold in the Currency Exchange

I know, but it seems kinda pointless to have to buy all your diamonds, it would make more sense if you could buy them or earn them

But buying them with gold from the exchange *is* the same as earning them. You earn the gold, then change gold into diamonds without having to buy them with your real money. If the diamonds could be gotten with *no one* buying them with real money, then this site might not exist for too long. The purchase of diamonds with real money is what pays for this site to stay open.

The site needs a way to gain money so it can continue to run. everything costs money. Artwork, servers, etc. The admin, Krin, spends much of his waking time working on the site as well, and he has bills to pay in order to be able to do that. With diamonds being the only way for the site to gain money to pay for these things, having a "free" way to obtain them would make it much harder to keep the site afloat.

That being said, there is the previously mentioned free way to get diamonds, and thats through the exchange. Gold is pretty easy to come by, and lots of players sell diamonds for gold. This still brings revenue to the site, as they had to be purchased first, but allows the free-to-play players an opportunity to get them without spending real cash.

In addition, there are occasionally ways to gt free diamonds, which is honestly overly generous of the admin considering the above. During December is the advent calender, and there is often a day there that offers a few free diamonds. Diamonds can also be won through fest forum games pretty frequently (or at least diamond assets, like stables)
