I tried to make a basic Axolotl Sylvorpa design, where did I go wrong? this was a bad idea ;-; I am regretting life decisions right now ;-;

It's not that they're not cute (the female is kind of cute though :3), it's just that the male's eyes are... kinda soulless. they also look sort of strange because axolotl's, like most/all animals, don't have one solid body colour, so seeing something that looks (or is supposed to look) like something else that has a range of different little spots and marks and different colours, but doesn't have these little traits, and is instead one solid colour, is kind of strange. It probably doesn't help that the fins are kind of strange too. XD
