"Rise and shine guys! I have breakfast!" The older of the 'children' said as she went around the house hitting a metal pot with a wooden spoon. "Get up you sleepyheads!" She yelled louder jumping up and down on the bed as she did. The boy in the bed groaned turning over as he did.
"Five more minutes Rosa!" He complained covering his head up again only to have it ripped off of him by the female. He was in noting more than a pair of baggy shorts. "Hey! Stop that!"
"Then get up Cain! You lazy bird! Haven't you heard early bird gets the worm? Now get your feathery butt up! The pancakes are getting cold!" Rosa said before moving on to the next of the beds.
"Pancakes?!" The boy said hopping up. As he did the small black feathered wings on his back fluttered to life sending him stumbling forward into the kitchen.
"Hear that?! Cain is going to get to them fist before the rest of you!" Rosa laughed. It was just a normal day in the small tattered home. Soon she would go off to work leaving them to clean and watch over the younger children of the orphanage. To her this was her life, helping kids so they didn't end up lonely on the street like she did.

(I have to go in like a minute so I'll make the references for my characters afterwards.)


Neko glances up. Then she just rolls her eyes and flops back onto bed. "Wake me up when something important happens." She mutters.

(To quickly describe Neko: She's a sphynx like from greek mythology, just more humanoid. She's sort of large and is a lot more like a cat than a person.)

"That's not how this works! Rise and shine!" Rosa said jumping on the bed like she had with Cain. "Come on then get up! I made your favorite pancakes Neko!" The woman giggled still hitting the pot like she did.

She sighs, and her tail flicks in annoyance. She then crosses her arms and glares at her. "What has four legs in the morning, two in the day, and three in the evening?"

(Sphinxes are known for their riddle thing so Neko tends to use riddles as a way to get out of doing stuff.)

"A human, now get up!" Rosa laughed before moving on to the next bed. "Best get up before they get cold! Or Cain eats them all!"

She sighs and reluctantly gets up. Against a stupid person she could always get away with things, but the downside was that if they solved it she had to do whatever she was trying to avoid. (Working on her ref rn :3)

"Neko look!" Cain said as he shoved another bit of a pancake in his mouth. "See?!" He said spitting a bit of the food everywhere. "Sevewn!" Again his tiny wings fluttered behind him as he clapped. Chewing though proved to be a problem ending with him having syrup dribbling down his chin.

She sighs softly and goes directly to the coffee pot. Being mainly a cat, she was in no way, shape, or form a morning person. Or really a night owl. Not really a 'enjoy being awake' person in general.

"Did you see Neko! I fit seven pancakes in my mouth!" He said once finished. "Hey are we going out to explore the woods again today? I want to see if we can find anymore shinies!" By this he meant shiny rocks though since he seemed to be somewhat bird like he liked to find shining rocks above all.

"It's going to be hot today." Neko mutters, sipping her coffee.
