So I live really close to the beach, and these little things called Sand crabs are super common

Theyre these very small, grayish, completely harmless, round little creatures that just dig into the sand and chill, but a lot of my friends arent really big beachgoers or arent near the beach, and have no idea what they are? I dont know why, I kinda just assumed they were everywhere??

Also, a lot of my non-beachy friends think theyre gross and creepy???? I cant add pictures now because Im on mobile, but I swear theyre really cute if you look them up, and when you hold them they try to burrow into your hand but they cant because theyre small and weak little friends so it just tickles??

I know what you're talking about! Sand crabs are really cool actually. There really fun to watch if you go to the beach, as everytime a wave pulls back you can see them bury themselves under the sand again.

Oh, I've seen those! We don't go to the beach all that often, but I see these little guys almost everytime. At night, we have ghost crabs as well, and both crabs are fun to look around for and try to catch.

I haven't gone to the beach in over a decade, but when I did I would spend my time digging in the sand for fossils. I encountered a lot of the little sand crabs. They use to freak me out when I was a lot younger. I still think they'd creep me out a teensy bit. They are cute though~ so long as they're not touching me. :)

I love sand crabs! They're totally adorable. They kind of make me think of ant lions, which are really, really cool insects. Ant lions are a lot less cute than sand crabs, though.

I looked up ant lions and now I am scarred for life x-x

Okay, so maybe they look a little horrifying. But they're very useful! They eat all sorts of nasties. :)
