Ok, so I kind of get the concept but have a few questions. My best understanding is max stat + LG pet = superstat.

So what kind of pets from the lost Grove do you need? Are these LG pets max stat, with a stat boos so you prefer them? What makes them Superior to breed into a line? What kind of bonuses do they give?

Pretty much need a rundown lol

LG pets have regular wild stats, but pass on their Grove Bonus Stats (the +___), though those lose about 2-4 points per stat per generation

Wild-caught Legendary and Mythical Grove pets (and epic themes) generally have +Bonus of 30-45.
Wild-caught Epics have +20-30.
(Hatched unthemed pets have equivelant to Rare grove pets, <+10, Hatched Themeds have 20-30)

(thus, a grove pet with a +40 bonus to Str would produce offspring with +38, +37, or +36, and the +38 child would give offspring that had +36, +35, or +34

Superstat is generally 100+Grove bonus stats, but also ones that just have all their stats brought up over 100 because of the grove bonus (eg, 98+30, totalling 128.)

Breeding for Superstat can potentially fail a lot, as if you're crossing a Max pet with a Grove pet the stats have a very wide window of possibility (anywhere between 10 and 100 is a lot) across all the stats

Oh, this makes so much more sense, thank you!! And just one more question if I might ask, does the number of stars a pet has effect it? Like a legendary with 2 stars versus 3 or 4?

In the Grove, that now actually properly relates to difficulty- so rare and epic pets are 3 star, and epic+ themes, legendary, and mythical pets get 4 stars
