How do I send pets on missions?

Explore > World Map > Viridian Meadows > Esior's Haven > Town Barracks
There will be a list of available missions. Click on one, select a pet, and hit 'Accept Mission'.

make sure to send the right pet though- it will tell you what stat the mission focuses on, so you want to send a pet that has its proficiency and equipment geared towards that stat for the best result.
(possible Mission outcomes:
Failure. Reward: Nothing
Poor. Reward: Half the base reward, no mission satchel
Satisfactory. Reward: Base reward, one mission satchel
Exceptional. Reward: Double base reward, two mission satchels)
