i guess the last time i played was about 4 years ago if my pm's are any indication.
I'm a mature adult with grown kids, except for my cats and dog
I work as a transit bus driver when i'm not playing ;)
i think i got a little overwhelmed last time, but i like the game so i'm gonna try again. Good news is i found the guide to guides thread which has helped. if anybody knows of any more up-to-date resources like that please feel free to share a link. I need all the help i can get.

First off, welcome back. Depending on when you last played theres probably a lot of new things.
There are plenty of avatar items to choose from now. The broker is a busy place.
There is at least one new species. Ferrikki were released early this year.
Winter fest starts in a few days so watch for that. Also the advent calendar is currently running so check that everyday.
A lot of the pets have art updates so some of your pets may look slightly different and you may be able to reshuffle some of their traits or colors.
The level cap is now 70. The Lost Grove, a 60+ area, was released earlier this year to provide a challenge for those who manage to get to the higher levels. Once you level up enough to get to it, and finish the current quest chain, youll be able to enter and see for yourself. Enemies are more difficult but the area also allows you to rank up your moves making them more powerful.
Uh... thats just stuff off the top of my head. If you need to know anything else specifically just ask.

Welcome back! There are Ferrikkis now and the Lup revamp was hosted and now there are so many avatar items I cant find the ones that i OWN

wow so much to take in, i'm slowly working it all out. Having a discord helps immensely for me. and i love the guide section in the forums with the nice pinned section. Also very helpful. the guide to guides is a bit dated but i found links to newer guides in a number of the guides listed there. Pretty soon, i'll be able to help other people out with answers :D
oh! and i figured out what that pinged list at the top of the forum page is for :D
