Not entirely sure if it's a bug, but I've received and accepted friend requests recently but for some reason they aren't showing in my contacts list. I tried refreshing the page and the new contacts are still not there

it's not a bug, it's just a very strange feature of Sylestia- Friend Requests are one-way.
If you send a friend request to someone and they accept, they will show up to you as a friend, their egglings/hatchlings will show up in your "nurture pets me and my firends own", their name will be in the friend drowdowns... but, as you have noticed, they do not show up for the other person.
Both parties have to send a request to eachother.

So now i have the issue of being unable to find that person to friend them back as i can't remember their username
