If I remember correctly, it's a no...I'm pretty sure you can't...

4-star Named pets like Thunder and Bolt, and Sapphire and Ember, belong to NPCs, so no, you can't- catching them would be stealing, and that's Rude (basically you just can't; the game won't let you because they aren't Wild sylesti.)
