Description: Black, black hair, honey colored skin, maple colored eyes that change to green-blue at time. She has a faint knife scar at her throat and lots of spark. She is very quick and agile and jump fairly high.
History: Her father dies in a mining accident and she hunts for the family. Her mother is weak, but runs a small shop in Hob. She has a sister, Rose, who is twelve and looks like Kate, but with blond hair. Kate is very helpful to her family. She has been whipped and beaten. She hates the Capitol like Crisa, a District 11 tribute.

Personality: Fierce, cautious, quiet, and brave. She is helpful, though. She is good with herbs and sings well. She tries really hard and never gives up.

Oh. I guess I'll start off.
I am a average girl who lives in District 12. Today is the Reaping. I'll tell you about myself. I live in a stone house with my mother and sister Rose. I hunt for my family in the woods beyond the "electric" fence that used to be electric when Katniss Evergreen lived in the same house before she won the Hunger Games. I have a boy- no, just friend named Cole. We hunt together. He is very kind. I can trust him. Uh oh. The ceremony has begun. I get into my best clothes and go.

I'm nervous. Who will be picked for the Hunger Games? I am trying to stay calm. I will not be chosen. But...there is a tiny chance. What if it's Rose? Oh, not Rose! No. She will not. No. Can't be chosen. No way.
"The female tribute from District 12 is,"
I'm going to explode as she she pulled the tiny slip of paper. That paper holds the fate of a person.
"...Kate Maple."
No! It can't be! How could I have been chosen. I feel so dizzy. I need to sit down. Gasps erupt from the crowd. My hunting partner, also my best friend, Cole stares at the lady dumbfounded.
"Kate! No! Not Kate! No!" he cried.
"Kate! Don't go!" cries Rose.
"I must. I wish I didn't get chosen. I'll be back. I promise." I answer. But I can't promise her. I don't she believes me either.
"The male tribute from District 12 is...Rohn Hunterweed!"
Huh. He sounds familiar. Oh! He's the boy who taught me to sing. He is an angel, and so...so young! He is jus a mere child of age 14!
"I volunteer in his place!" says Cole.
Wait. COLE?!
"No! Don't! Why?" I cry.
"Well, come up, my young friends." says the blue haired lady. I gulp.
I go up. "I am Kate Maple. I am 16. I will represent District 12!"
"My name is Cole. You may know as the baker's son and hunter. I am 17. And I love Kate."
What?!
I faint right up there. I awake on my mother's bed with Cole looking at me.
"Time to go to the train." Said Cole.

Description: dark hair and creamy skin color, small and skinny.
History: had to feed her family for a very long time. She had a very rough life and managed to steal food. She hates the capitol and everything to do with it. Her older sister was chosen as a tribute 2 years before.

The time had come, the reaping. Crisa grabbed her white dress and grabed her younger brother. The walked to the square and once they all gathered, it began. Edwina, the announcer lady, played the movie and did the same thing as always. "Happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favor." She then said, "Ladies first." she then says the name, "Crisa Melona!" I had been called, my family sobbed as I slowly walked up to the platform. Now the boys. "Leon selta!" No way, he was my best friend and I refused to fight him, but that is that, no replacements for him and no more time.

*~Train Scene~*

"Hey, are you a tribute for District 11? I saw your name." I say to the girl.

"Yes, I never expected to be called.Now we go play the capitol's game and kill each other, its just not fair!"
Crisa's eyes were stinging now, her family was going to have to fend for themselves without her, she could see herself being killed, it was not a pleasant thought, people that turn against each other, it was all murder.

"Is this are fate?" I cried. "To be played by the Capitol?" I had a plan. A crazy plan. That might just save us, or kill us.

Crisa gathered her bearings and stopped her tears.
She looked out the window, "Your name is Kate Maple isn't it? I am Crisa and I am from district 11." I remembered how I found a break in the fence so that I could go hunt.

"I've got a plan." I said. "A dangerous, crazy, risky Papuan."

"What would that plan be?"

"Come meet at sunset, when the train stops." I said. "We can't let the Capitol know."
