PRIVATE ROLEPLAY
I was thinking we would each have two charachters, one Ranger and one Apprentice. Perhaps there is a new Skandian Oberjarl, who has brought back raiding, or a revolt against the King/Queen of Araluen? Or we can just start and see what the RP brings.

I'm not going to say too much about his personality either because I want to develop it through roleplay.

He's ambidexterous and knows how to properly use a thin, lightweight sword (scimitar, katana, etc. Anything heavier and he'll stick to his knives). Maybe I'll give 'im an accent.

As is typical of Rangers, Evan was always several inches short of of average heigth, a fact that he has laways diliked. He is cheerful and inquisitive, but shy around strangers. He decided that he wanted to do something actually important, and so set his sights on joining the Ranger Corps.

Oh! Do you mind if I do a female apprentice who's pretended to male in order to become a Ranger? She's slightly older than the other apprentices n' stuff. And then she tries to hide her true gender from her mentor and then romance and stuff...? She could have a younger mentor so the age gap isn't so creepy.

Sounds good. So, you mean ages like Gilan/Jenny? Since there's romance there, Jenny and Will are the same age, and Gil's older than both of them?

Yeh but Jenny isn't a Ranger (if memory serves - I read the books a long time ago and I'm rereading them now to get things to come back)
Smth like that where the apprentice falls in love with the mentor and you decide if they like her back or not.

No, but she's Redmont's best cook. Maybe my apprentice could have a crush on her, but she has a crush on her young mentor?

How will it turn out in the end tho? I kinda wanna do teacher/student but peer/peer can work
Also how do you plan on having your apprentice find out she's actually a girl? She's going to try pretty hard to keep her feelings and gender hidden from her mentor.
Also for plot can we have some sort of dude who "brings Morgarath back" and also the Kalk-somethings and decides to try to destroy the entire kingdom... maybe even beginning by taking down the Ranger Corps

Do you think you cold move your characters up to your first post to keep this more organized?
Perhaps Eona is injured on her back/side/stoumach and someone tells her to take her shirt off to tend it, which would be fine if she's a boy... but she's not.
I added my apprentice to the third post.

I was thinking of creating another thread for the actual roleplay whereas this one is more for planning.
So we're going with the Mulan way of reveal? Excellent!
All ya need to do now is finish your Ranger and we're good to go.
