So, I'm writing a campaign for my friends to play, this forum is for people who need idea to write campaigns or to help find information to write more compelling campaigns.

So, might I ask a question that is somewhat important to my campaign:
What animals in mythology have been known to see into the future?

Not very many that I can see. Seeing the future seems to be more a humanoid or Fey-like trait. There are the Fates from Greece, the Korrigan from Breton folklore, and people like Cassandra.

In fantasy I think some Dragons can see into the future but I'm not finding many myths about it. Mostly about the items they used to see into the future.

So after a lot of research, I figured out something about Lynxes being related to time or whatever, the reason I was looking is because theres this one artifact that allowed the wearer to see glimpses into the future

So you wanted to name the artifact after an animal or mythical creature?

It was a mask, I wanted it to resemble the animal

So, after doing a little more research, I've found Owls can represent clairvoyance, and Lynxes are more associated with secrets, so maybe I'll do a combination of both animals for the mask. Does"Mask of Future Secrets" sound good?
