how the heck do I do this ? I've tried everything I can think of and im tempted to send a message to every account that already knows how to do it and have a rant ; -;

Tried using the image address and it might just not be compatible. Try saving the images to your desktop and reloading to one of the image sites listed above in the guide and then try using the new image url address.

The links you were using weren't image links (png, gif, jpeg, etc) they were links to websites. That's why they weren't looking. The link you want will look like this. It'll have one of the image extensions at the end.
