A young kit sat in the ThunderClan nursery, her eyes closed as she let all the noises of the clan camp surround her. With a sigh, she laid down, opening her eyes and looking at the entrance of the nursery, longing to go out. But she knew she couldn't go out without her mother or a different warrior, which didn't seem fair to her.

She looked at her tortoiseshell pelt and wondered if she could blend in with the shadows and sneak out. Standing up, she began to creep towards the entrance when she felt jaws clamp around her scruff.
