So basically, I have a first generation Luffox I adopted. In the area on it's profile in which it shows the genes, it says it's supposed to have Glow Light Wings and Lucky Runes. It doesn't have them yet? Can anyone help me? https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=4035900

Those are carried traits, so they will never be visible on that pet. The only way to have them visible is to breed a baby with another pet with those same traits (or more recessive ones) in those slots and hope that the baby receives the traits from both parents, therefore making them visible. Hope that helps!

Would you be able to give me an example using my Luffox? I'm not understanding how to make it visible on another pet rather than the original.

Sure. Okay, so here's an example using one of my own breeding projects. This is Golden Tapestry:

As you can see, she has no visible traits, however, she has five carried traits. Her genetics look like this:
Gene One: (NP) Bandit Angel
Gene Two: (NC) Turtle Shell Scales
Gene Three: (NC) Rainbow Mane
Mutation One: (ND) Circus Wear
Mutation Two: (NJ) Braided Mane
Mutation Three: (NN) None

I bred her to Golden Sunburst, who has three visible traits and one carried trait:

His genetics look like this:
Gene One: (IJ) Tiger
Gene Two: (NA) Striped Scales
Gene Three: (NN) None
Mutation One: (KM) Iridescent Scales
Mutation Two: (CL) Fire Mane
Mutation Three: (NN) None

In this case, Golden Sunburst not only has three visible traits and one carried trait, but he also has three hidden traits (recessive traits that can't be seen under his visible traits, but are able to be passed on to his offspring).

Their child, Kissproof, looks like this:

And these are his genetics:
Gene One: (IP) Tiger
Gene Two: (AC) Striped Scales
Gene Three: (NN) None
Mutation One: (DM) Circus Wear
Mutation Two: (NL) Feathered Mane
Mutation Three: (NN) None

He ended up with three visible traits (with three hidden traits) and one carried trait as well, and this is why:
He received the visible I (Tiger) in Gene One from his father and the carried P (Bandit Angel) from his mother. He received the carried A (Striped Scales) from his father and carried C (Turtle Shell Scales) from his mother in Gene Two. For Gene three where Kissproof has no traits, his father had nothing to give, and his mother's carried C (Rainbow Mane) did not pass on. For Mutation One, he received his mother's carried D (Circus Wear) and his father's hidden M (Peacock Armor). For Mutation Two, he did not receive anything from his mother because her carried J (Braided Mane) did not pass on, but he did receive his father's hidden trait, L (Feathered Mane), making Mutation Two a carried trait. For Mutation Three, neither parent had any traits to give, so Kissproof has nothing there as well.

Hopefully that helps, and doesn't make it more confusing?

So, if I wanted to make Orchid's traits visible on her possible offspring, could I use a Luffox without any traits, or must I use one with some sort of trait?

As with my example, if you breed a pet with carries to a pet with nothing at all in the same slots, the best you can get is carries in those slots. To get visibles you must have at least a carried trait in the same slots, but even then it's only a 25% chance of getting a visible trait. Breeding to a pet with a visible trait in the same slots will give a 50% chance. There is no way to have 100% chance of visible offspring from your luff. Only breeding visible and visible (in the same slot) will give a 100% visible result.

Thank you so much! Of course, the one Luffox female I'm looking to breed is merely an adolescent and I have to wait. When the time comes, I will breed her with my male. He has a few genes. Hopefully I don't forget this!
