While under the proficiency tab for a pet, you can see the available attacks that a pet will learn at a certain level. You can also see that each attack can be "ranked up" 4 times, with each rank up making the ability a little bit stronger.
My question is: How exactly do you rank up attacks? I did a quick look around and didn't find anything to answer my question, so hopefully someone here can clarify. Thanks!

You rank them up by battling in the Lost Grove.
