Every Griffi in my second stable, marked 'Sales and stat breeds' is available right now. As of the point that I'm making this thread, that would be 49 griffis.

Most can breed with each other. I'm not going to be making them infertile. You can ask me if a pair are breedable before you purchase them.

20%-ish have base stats between 80 and 100
45%-ish have base stats between 70 and 100
30%-ish have base stats between 60 and 100
and then there's a few odd ones that have base stats in there that have 44 base stats in most categories and then a single 70 in one category. I dunno.

As a heads up, most of them will be a bit lacking in the Health department. I believe the health ranges between 900 and 2000? Most of them are around the 1300-ish range I think?

So anyway, yeah. They're going to take a bit of work before they get to max stats. But hey, it's better than starting at the beginning.

I've already picked out the ones that're closest to being done to keep for myself to finish the project. I've got wayyyy too many extras though, and I think it's about time for a clean out. If they're not sold, I'll release 'em. (Dunno when that'll be. I'll give a 3 - 5 day heads up before I do that though, for anyone who wants to put one on hold or something.) I'll only put a griffi on hold for a maximum of 5 days after all the rest are either sold or released.


Welp. I was trying to think of how to make a price thing with a sliding scale based off of the lowest stat of the pet. I knew I wanted to do it so that a pet with the lowest stat of 40 was 20,000 gold, and one with the lowest base stat was 300,000. Nice little sliding scale there between the highest possible and lowest possible. And I got bored.

Y = 4.65x - 166, where X is the lowest base stat the pet has and Y is the price. (add '000' to end of result, round down to the nearest thousand)

^This is the general formula I'll be using for pricing. (Yeah, I know, I'm a math geek. Never thought you'd see something like this out of school, eh? For those of you who are not math geeks though - )


Lowest stat is -

40 - 20,000 gold
41-50 - 66,000 gold
51-60 - 113,000 gold
61-70 - 159,000 gold
71-80 - 206,000 gold
81-90 - 252,000 gold
91-100 - 300,000 gold

"But Lady B!" you cry, "Some of those prices are absurd! Especially at the lower end of the scale!"

Yeah yeah, I know. Buh ya gotta remember, that it's just the lowest stat. I'm pretty sure I have a lowest-stat-is-40 but the highest stat is 70-something. Something like that. I didn't want the pricing to be more complicated than it already is. So the lowest stats are sorta priced a little high, and the higher stats are priced a little low (as it's fertile and you can easily take it and breed 'em yourselves)

General means that it's good for every purchase, pet-specific means that it only counts for 1 pet.

*If you do the math yourself based on the lowest stat (say it's 65), then the discounts will apply to this new number instead of the value listed above. This could potentially shave off like, 40,000 off your base price.

This is mostly so max-stats or close to it are a bit more popular and easier to be gotten by people. I mean, since the site seems to be geared more and more towards max-stat-or-you're-screwed sorta thing, I thought it'd be nice. And also it's really fun seeing people's drawings/stories and achievements and stuff.

How to do the math if you wanna:
(For this example, I will have lowest stat that we're calculating be 70)

Y = 4.65x - 166

Y = 4.65 * (70) - 166

Y = 325.5 - 166

Y = 159.5

159,000

40% discount (total) = 60% that you're paying.

60% = .6

159,000 * .6 = 95,400

95,000 = final total

Yikes. So this is a 100% unrealistic story. I have no idea how many words are in here but... Here I go...
I wrote one about Autumn the Griffi just because why not.

Autumn, as a Griffi, had wings. She was flying through the skies of Sylestia when suddenly, a portal appeared out of nowhere. Autumn was very close to it and was pulled into the portal. She was very startled but tried to calm down and figure out where she was. It was completely dark, and Autumn could feel herself being sent through the portal to another... city? Planet? Dimension? As she thought about it, she realized she could be going anywhere. Suddenly, she saw a bright light before she hit the ground.
Dazed and blinded by the light, she blinked and tried to stand up. The first thing she saw was the grass she was standing on. She pushed herself upright and saw a metal machine. It was labeled "the best car ever" so she supposed it was a car. Then, she wondered how she could even read those letters and understand them in the first place.
"Hey!" she turned and saw a human.
"Ellie, doesn't that look like one of those Griffis from Sylestia?" the human asked. So apparently, the humans knew of Sylestia, but they weren't in Sylestia.
"Annie, that does look like a Griffi. But aren't those computer games?" the human named Ellie asked, sounding confused.
"Wait, so I'm from a..." Autumn tried to pronounce it. "computer game?"
"Yeah!" Annie nodded. "How'd you get here?"
"I'm not too sure, actually. It was a portal."
"See, I told you!" Annie said to Ellie. "I knew Sylestia was real! It's another dimension, kind of like how those tv shows are all real but totally different dimensions, and..."
"Yes, Annie. You've explained many times."
"But see, it's proof! And maybe My Little Pony is real somewhere, too!"
"What's your name?" Annie asked. "I'm Annie. She's Ellie."
"I'm Autumn," the Griffi said.
"Nice to meet you!" Annie smiled up at her.
Clouds appeared out of nowhere, making it too dark to see. Autumn felt like she was going through another portal. When the portal sensation was gone, she realized she was in Sylestia, right where she had been before the portal encounter.
Autumn only had one thought. Was it all a dream?

Story about Fall the Griffi.
Fall was a very normal Griffi. However, he always bewailed the fact that he was too old for school. As a young Griffi, he'd loved school and was very sad when summer came around.
Therefore, he spent his free time thinking about the good old school days.
Flashback
Fall would sit in school, reading his book during breaks. He remembered the difficulties of learning Precalculus in fourth grade, and how his classmates struggled.
Seriously, though. Precalculus was way too easy - at least Calculus was somewhat challenging for the first few weeks. His classmates called him a genius, but Fall wasn't too sure. The famous Griffi scientist
was what they'd call a genius, but he was just a legend.
But everyone should have understood Calculus with no problem whatsoever! You didn't have to be a genius to figure it out, especially when you were already in the fifth grade.
Fall's books always had the most complicated math problems he could find, or sometimes it would be a theoretical essay on space travel, or even books about the possibilities of other dimensions. Fall didn't care, as long as it entertained him. He wished he would be able to write one of these books himself, when he became an Adult Griffi.
Fall sighed at the thought, realizing it would be another ten years before it happened. Ten more years with these dense classmates. Perhaps, after those ten years, Fall would search for the Nephini or Aurleons. He'd heard that the Nephini were especially smart.
End Flashback
Ten years later...
Fall looked up as he approached the entrance to the Nephini's land. He saw a Nephini sitting on top of the defensive wall.
"Hi there!" the Nephini said. "A Griffi, come to visit?"
"I'm Fall," Fall introduced himself. "I heard the Nephini were smart so I wanted to come learn something new."
"Oh, you're the smart one! We've been expecting you! Come in"
The Nephini flew down and opened the gate. It was considered impolite to fly over your allies' defensive walls, even if it was more convenient.
Fall entered the land and headed towards the huge building, which was rumored to be the Nephini's Institute of Scholarly Sylestians. It was very famous and held the most difficult mental challenges within.
"Thank you!" Fall said, and headed towards his future.

I wrote another short story. It's kind of short like a short story should be.

How to making max stat?

You take two griffi's with high stats, breed them. When the egg is hatching, you apply a Prismatic Philter ideally. That boosts the base stats of the pet, and allows it to exceed the parent's stats. If you don't apply a prismatic philter, then the stats will be between the two parents.

Generally, starting from the very beginning, without help, it'll take 8-9 generations, 4 prismatic philters each. Which means altogether, 32-36 prismatic philters, at 125,000 gold each on average. Which means, at least 4,000,000 gold and 8-9 months.

I had some help though - I bought griffi's with higher than normal stats, and I also went out and bred them with a few random max-stat (or close to it) griffis. That quickened things up a bit and lowered the cost, though it sorta made the vis and colors random and bland. Even so, it's a whole helluva lotta work, and time, and patience.

That's probably the reason most people sell theirs infertile, and for quite a bit more. Me? I don't mind so much. It was just for fun.
