Hello, I'm new and have a few questions about pricing things and breeding pets.
I'm going to be breeding Zolnixies, Kelpari, and Ferrikki so I would like pricing and breeding information on these species.
Pricing Pets: How should I price ferrikkis? They seem higher priced than other pets but I don't want to overprice.
How do I price other pets? How much should I charge for each trait?
Which traits are worth more? Which are worth less?
When selling pets, should I make it an option to let people suggest prices for pets? Or are low suggested prices a major risk? (Again, I don't know a lot about pricing so I would probably assume they were giving a reasonable offer)
Breeding Pets: Which traits are more popular? Which are less?
Is there anything especially important I should keep in mind when breeding?
Pricing Artwork:
I draw and sketch a lot so when I found out that people on Sylestia were selling their drawings I thought it would be a good way to earn extra money.
I do not use any design programs on the computer. Anything I draw would be done traditionally with paper and pencil. My style is more cartoony. And I would be able to allow color pictures as a option.
How would I price my art? I've tried looking at other artist's prices but most of them either use some kind of digital programs or they're crazy good with their pencils and make amazing pieces unlike anything I could do.

I would click "Advanced Search" and sort the pets there by sale price, lowest to highest. You can also narrow it down there by genes, carried and/or visible, to see what other people charge. That way you can get a good idea of what is usually paid, and either bump your prices lower or higher.
As for ferrikkis, from what I've seen, males and rikkis with no traits or mutations are cheaper, and the traitless/geneless rikkis seem to be less in demand at the moment.
Gene popularity and abundance can also be gauged through a quick advanced search for pets and selecting specific traits or mutations. For example, if only five pets for sale show up for a certain gene, it might be very pricey.
When I sell, I only let others suggest prices if it's a pet I really don't care for any longer, or I say "I won't go any lower than (whatever price)."
When breeding, keep in mind the recovery period females have, and consider searching for pets other people own to breed with. I try to keep more females than males in projects.
These were a bit out of order but I hope it helps! (Sorry, don't know much about artwork...)

I have a girl Rikki you could breed from, she's got traits, but they're carried though. Zoe I bought her from a user named Misst for 35k. I'll put her at a reasonable price, since I'm now pricing my pets that aren't already priced for sale or breeding for 1,000g at the minimum if the pet has no traits, but each trait a pet has, regardless of whether it's visible or carried, adds 1k to the price, all the way up to 7,000g. Since Zoe has three traits, all carried, her price is going to be 4k. Sound alright?

Thanks for letting me know about her! I'll definitely look into breeding with her in the future! If you see any of my Ferrikkis that you would like to breed with just let me know!
